Greetings!
My name is Deucey and I'm here today to start branching out in the furry community.
I've been a furry since I can remember. In fact I've been this way before I even knew what a "furry" was.
As cliche as it sounds, it all started with a dream. Oh how lucid it was.
The fondest memory I have was what it was like to sway my 'tail' back and forth.
I remember feeling the momentum of this extra part of me swinging left and right and how I used it to effortlessly move it to and fro.
Think of it as dangling a heavy ball at the end of a stiff rope and swinging it. Odd, yes.. But I remember it so well, it's such a crazy feeling.
I awoke and jumped out of my bed onto my PC. I began looking up "white wolves" because in my dream my tail was white.
I've got a dumb smile on my face as I write this just thinking of how silly it all sounds. But it's true and that is what lead me to where I am today.
I'm still working out the details on my fursona but for now, I'm an all white arctic wolf with red eyes that goes by the name of "Haseo Shadowfang".
Back when I started researching why I had my dream and what it meant, I thought of the name "Fang".
I quickly found how common of a name it was and forged it since then.
Now for short I go by "Deucey". I figure it's a bit of a more original name anyways.
"Deucey" derives from a nickname I was given back in high school due to my last name "Dousay" (Doo•Say).
I've since used it as my artist name.
I can't say I've drawn much but the true "type" of artist I am is a rap artist.
It's amazing the amount of doubt I receive when I tell people I'm a local rapper.
But their reaction when they hear what I'm capable of is always the same: "Whoa".
Whether it's the look on their face or a bro fist followed by a compliment, I haven't ran into anyone who's disliked what I can do.
But I'm not one to boast. In fact I'm the one who beats myself up the most about what I'm capable of.
It's harsh, but I feel it's what helps me grow.
So here I am beginning my musical journey in the Furry Fandom.
I've a long ways to go but I'm confident my words can help spread understanding of the fandom.
It is my goal to not only be apart of something I feel is so great, but to also help grow it as a whole.
Because what we do, who we are... It's something quite special.
And if I can make the world see us for the good we are, perhaps we can help the world lighten up in our own way.
