Cursive or Print?
« on: April 17, 2016, 02:52:06 AM »
So, I've noticed this a lot at my school, and that is that I seem to be one of the few people in my class who regularly write in cursive (will post a sample of my handwriting if y'all want), which, thinking about this forum, made me wonder: Do you use cursive or print, and why do you prefer one over the other?

I basically write cursive automatically, since that was what I was taught. Sometimes, I switch to print, though. I don't know why, and it happens totally randomly.

They tried to teach script in Elementary school. I think I can say the teacher's efforts were fruitless. At my school not many people know how to write script. I can, I just forgot a couple letters since I barely use it.

I wrote in cursive for all of high school. Impressed my teachers with it but no one else could read it. I now just use print for important things and cursive for personal notes.
I am encountering that same problem, mainly in French where we write on the board a lot. All my classmates complain that they can't read my handwriting :-/

I write a mash between cursive and print. I have essentially write cursive without all the flares that come with it.

I only use cursive when signing stuff. I use print for everything else. I know cursive but I find print much easier and faster to write, so I go with that.
