Making friends...

So!
I've been trying (with mostly minimal results) to put myself out there on different websites to try and find friends.So far this is the only website I've liked and the only one I've had anyone to talk to on.
but... i just need to find more people to talk to.
Ideally i wanted to find people to talk to irl, But I'm learning quite quickly my community isn't really great for that.
so i just wanted to look for some advice on making friends via the interwebs.

Find someone who looks interesting and PM him. Read some of his posts and if he/she looks like your type of dude/dudette then ask about his interests and say something about yours. If you have some common interests like (for example) movies then start talking about some movie you've recently watched. If they said something interesting in one of their posts then PM them and continue the topic.

I don't have any internet-only friends so that's probably a shitty advice. Just be 100% honest right from the start. If someone is going to be your friend then you will get to know each other very closely, so hiding something or pretending to be someone else is dishonest and pretty much pointless.

Well the Internet itself can be a hard Spot because its easy ti hide behind a mask so humans can be cruel or worng to others - i have something on steam where people hate my game because the main actor is a fox.

but at least it does not count how many friends you have it counts that you have true and loyal freinds it does not mather if they are from rl or www so not the number of friends is important keep that in mind

Oh really? Huh i used to play clash of clans all the time- But that was a LONG time ago

I feel you there. I have had a hard time making friends recently as well. I just made an account here to make some furry friends! I think that social media is a good way to make friends but it can be dangerous. I think it could be safe to make some friends here and give them your social network accounts. You just need to be careful because there are creepers out there. I definitely enjoy making friends on games I play. If I've known the person long enough, I add them on a social network, provided I feel comfortable with that.
