Playing Verdun makes me feel extremely guilty, it's obvious why though.

Same here, yes ^^;

Often I have it with the storyline, and I want to make different decisions than the game lets me. For example indeed helping an enemy.

While development is slow generally with games to make true player choices, it's slowly becoming more of a thing. I just hope this thing would develop faster :P

I feel guilt only when I play a story based game and I press the wrong action by accident so I end up acting differently in a situation than usual.. ;-; I really feel guilty when I do that...

I would agree TellTale games produce nice games, but the choices you are given are more akin to 'fake-choices'. No matter what you choose, in the end there isn't a huge difference between endings, if at all. Even some decisions in the games simply lead the the exact same outcome. It's moreso an illusion of choice, rather than it actually being a choice with different consequences.
Of course it wouldn't change the fact you might feel guilty for whatever choice you would make with regards to the enemy/opponent ^^;

I sometimes feel that but I can say that the moment when I felt most guilt (and sadness) in a video game is when I once killed a Medic in Team Fortress 2 and when I looked at the corpses face it was so sad it made me immediately turn off my computer and cry.
That's why I always prefer helmets when you fight enemies in video games.

This is so true..

Also I feel guilt when I am plying Life is Strange where every choice really matters there and makes a huge difference on the ending and in general the progression of the game :p . I won't spoil anything but if you want a GOOD choice based story game that makes you feel guilt then Life is Strange is for you :p

I don't remember feeling guilty while playing. I usually play heavily modded Skyrim, Warband and Crusader Kings 2. I try to exploit every weakness that I can find. There's no mercy unless they are willing to join me.

AI wouldn't be forgiving if I was a shitty warlord, so I think it's fair.
