This song is the anthem of Ythreïman, a proud island in the world of Gaia, inhabited solely by anthro's.
Now, for a good understanding of its contents I must note you that it was written over 2,100 years ago (local count). The island was earlier discovered by accident, when a group of seamen came stuck in a fierce storm. They struck the coast of Ythreïman that time. The island offered the seamen a safe haven. Because of Ythreïman, the men lived to tell the tale. This got the island its reputation, which hasn't changed even once.
Upon thy land
When the tide is high
And the floods dost rise
And the waves reach to the clouds
Then we stand tall upon thy dry land
For thou dost not submit to seas!
[CHORUS]
So, Ythreïman, oh, Ythreïman
How we stand upon thy soil!
Oh, Ythreïman, yes, Ythreïman
How we trust upon thy rock!
When the gust is hard
And the winds dost howl
And the breeze becometh a storm
Then we stand tall upon thy strong land
For thou dost not submit to air!
[CHORUS]
If the rains fall down
And the hail striketh thee
And the thunder roareth in anger
Then we stand tall upon thy fierce land
For thou dost not submit to clouds!
[CHORUS]
In the storms of life
And emotional tides
When life is hard, we are in despair
Then we stand tall upon thy calm land
For thou dost not submit to us!
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE]
For thou dost not submit to seas!
For thou dost not submit to air!
For thou dost not submit to clouds!
For thou dost not submit to us!
[CHORUS]
