Species2?
« on: April 26, 2008, 02:02:07 AM »
Okay, since I'm not really allowed to post in the old species thread, I might as well ask here:

I've felt a connection to equines, kind of a pull toward them. However, I'm not sure if they fit me or not. What should I do?

-Nova
You'll notice I don't have any real specifics about my fursona. That is because I do not associate my fursona with any particular "design". Nova is me. I am Nova the gargoyle.

(Equines = horses)

It's near impossible for anyone to tell you what your fursona should be. It's up to you to decide. You can always change your fursona if you change your mind later. You can always come up with a hybrid with an equine and an animal that might fit you better.

agreed with Zephyr, just stick to it for the time being, if you feel connected to a different animal later on, a fursona is easily changed or even modified

Not so easily modified for some, some put a great time and work into their fursona, they have a spiritual connection ect.

But to that light at the same time, I say try out equine. You will know if it fits or not. Raptor wasn't my first pick either I used to think it might be a turtle :P But luckily I switched and have been a Raptor for wellover 15 years.

a fursona is a anthromorphic image of someone i think (correct me if im wrong) and if you discover its not completely right, you can correct it, which is what i mean, excuse me for coming across a bit confusing there

Its different things to different furries. But yes it can be corrected. Though it can be hard if you have worked at it for a while.

Some furries switch fursonas like its a throw away towel. Others like me have too much of a connection to ever change, when we find it we never change.
