Ray Charles. Muddy Waters. James Brown. Marvin Gaye. Frank Sinatra and numerous others.

Their art, Blues, Jazz, Swing, its all gone into the vast nothingness that popular culture creates for past music styles.

Why.

Listen to Ray Charles singing the origional Ive Got a Woman, no the insulting, in my opinion, Kanye West revision, and see the art that is lost.

Listen to Georgia on my mind.

Listen to I Feel Good, I'm Black and I'm Proud.

Anything from the Rat Pack.

Beautiful, Emotional, Classical, Music with feelings that words cant even describe.

The beauty in their voices cant be heard save for through artificial means.

some bands now keep their styles alive, but its still fading.

and I am truly sorry for anyone who cant see the slow death of this beautiful form of Mankind's strive for artistic mastery go to waste.

it truly saddens me.

We relegate these and other artists to the pit of irrelevance and archaic meaning, when in reality, the mainstream crap that is turned out every other day wouldn't exist if these artists hadn't shaken and even perfected their musical talents.

Embrace Music, And You Embrace One Of The Few Things That Is Truly Universal.

You're not alone.  My mom raised me on Marvin Gaye, then again...my mom is weird.  But I like Marvin Gay and Frank Sinatra.  I'm also a big fan of swing in all it's forms, although I'm still learning about all of the big names in swing.
If your anger was a hat, what kind of hat would it be?
