Hey all, I couldn't find anywhere if it was allowed or not, but I'm still confused wether I'm a furry or not. ???
I'll lurk here for a while just for confirming, I'm not used to all what you guys seem to do, it's intriguing, yet weird. But, I'd appreciate if I could have some help, any way to confirm or etc... I guess that's it, and I'll have to get used to it, it's still a pleasure meeting new people.

What I mean is, the roleplaying, Second Life and IMVU, I know nothing of it and all or most of you does it. It's just unusual for me, I did that in elementary school, role playing, and loved it, but it's been quite some time. What I meant about helping me know if I am or not, I'm not sure if it's a choice or if it's a birth coincidence. See, I'm homosexual and I have tons of fetishes, and I think it's obviously related to birth, and it's impossible to choose it. So yeah, that's about it. Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome.

About 30% of your character are given by your genes, the other 70% are given by the way of upbringing, your environment and a lot of other things. So I think things like fetishes belong to "the other 70%" (such as being furry or not) and being homosexual belongs to the first 30%.
Anyways, if you're furry or not is somehow up to the way how you define "furry" or "being furry". I tend to say: Furries are people who share a special interest in anthropomorphic animals.
Some people say you need a real "fursona" (oh ... how I hate this word) to be a furry, other people say you just have to be interested in anthropomorphic animals, etc.
This so called "special interest" can be found in a lot of things, such as writing, drawing or role playing (just to give a few examples).
I think you don't need a "fursona" or something (I don't have one myself), so the only person who can decide whether you are a furry or not is yourself. :)
