Sora's Farewell
« on: April 09, 2009, 05:44:40 AM »
Well, this isn't exactly a furry story. Its more of a fanfiction of a game called Animal Crossing where you are a human moving into a town of all animals and you pay off your morgage to a tanuki named Tom Nook. If this is in the wrong place, then I apologise and ask that a kind mod put it in the right place. Well, here it is, and please comment and give advice on improving it, I may enter it in a contest...

It was late, almost midnight, and the town was still, let alone the footsteps of the neighborhood cat, Tammy. That, and the shuffling made by one of the human residents, Sora.

Sora was moving. Again. Sure, The Wild was a vast improvment from his hometown of Hyrule, but at least in Hyrule people cared about him. Here, he felt unloved and shunned.

He had moved here about a month ago when his friend, Techwolf sent him a letter pleading that he live in The Wild  with her. He happily agreed, and found a house with the help of the store owner of the town, Tom Nook.

Well, it was the only house left. It was cramped, overpriced, and was sparcily furnished, but Sora didn't mind all of this because of the location. It was right on the beach, one of his favorite places in the world to clear his mind and find solitude.

The sound of the waves that usally helped him obtain peace of mind made him even more sentimental about leaving. His eyes welled up with tears as he moved the last of his belongings out of his house, remembering the days when he and Techwolf had together won the Fall Fishing Tourney, and planting trees and flowers  to win The Nicest Town Award.

He started down the beach one last time before departing from the town. The full moon lit the ocean with a soothing glow, and the cherry blossoms filled the air with their sweet scent. After awhile, he decided to leave Techwolf one last note.

Dear Techwolf,
Why have we grown so far apart? I'm leaving The Wild because no one seems to care for me anymore. You were the only one who ever did, and even you have turned your back on me. I'll be going somewhere far away, so please don't look for me.
 Sora

After spilling his most heart-felt emotions onto the koi print stationary, he left it in her mailbox, and proceded to the bus stop. With one last look back on The Wild, he stepped on the bus to find his true home.

In loving memory of Sora
