Separate or Same?
« on: March 20, 2009, 06:00:32 PM »
Do you consider your fursona separate from you? Or do you consider your fursona YOU? Why or why not? Please explain in detail as best you can!

I, personally, consider my fursona to be ME. I don't like the idea of having separate characters, it just feels "fake" to me. For me, furry is self-expression. It is the idea of representing who I am with an animal, or any other creature. Gargoyle came about when all else failed, and I realized how much I loved gargoyles. I see myself as protective, and a bit "feared" even. I never fit in, and I sit alone (as the gargoyles do on the cathedrals). I'm a caring outsider, and so to me, gargoyle is very symbolic.

-Nova
You'll notice I don't have any real specifics about my fursona. That is because I do not associate my fursona with any particular "design". Nova is me. I am Nova the gargoyle.

I consider my fursona to be "me". I couldn't really imagine myself any other way.

Same here (lol, pun definitely intended) my fursona is literaly myself, outside of physicaly looks, personality, how he acts, how he responds, thats the exact way I would do that.
Read the left column then the right column

Times change, and promises are broken        |   Life is short
Life goes on and yet it stops                        |   Yet the soul is eternal
I have much to give so have this token         |   Your words a port
And get some chocolate from the shops        |   For feelings, internal

Life is short so do not wait                          |   Go seek the love
Take love by the horns                               |   Who's soul is yours
Loyalty is a wonderful trait                           |   They are your dove
But be wary of a rose's thorns                     |   Who's love is lores

Things that live                               |   Join now in the search
Must always die                               |   And find your love
Yet do not dive                              |   They'll be your perch
Into this lie                                     |   As you are their dove

God willing, my Fursona is literally me. He's got my name (Except the middle name, which is Folf) he's got my mindset, build, personality, ideals, inte... Screw it, he's me, as a walking, talking, Folf. Who can change to a Feral. Harken and hear the call of the Fursona.

However, I got all sorts of minor Fursonas for different things. (Roho, Furaha, Utempo, and others...)

She's pretty much who I wish to be and who I am down beneath all the fears and weaknesses. Who I am just before I fall asleep and am too muddled to care anymore XD

But I do think of her as being separate, still.
