Leo's art Attempts
« on: April 12, 2009, 10:17:07 PM »
Well after not even looking at a pencil for 8 years, I decided the heck with it, and tried drawing something. To my surprise it didn't come out that bad. The last time I tried drawing anything was back in middle school. And that was only squares and stuff for maths....and I still sucked at it. Seriously, even my stickmen looked like mutant moose's after they'd been in a car accident  XP

So for my first ever furry pic I made myself very proud. Took me at least 20 redraws (mainly because I can't find an eraser, meaning any errors required me to start from scratch >.<) and hours of looking at various tutorials and otter pictures on the internet to get this far, but I'm still proud. It looks better on paper though. The camera on my phone seems to of made it look a little wider and messed up some of the already bad proportions. But hopefully it'll look better when I can get around to scanning it.

Lemme know what you think. Any suggestions or critic on how I can improve it are welcome. But for now I need to stop looking at it. The more I look at it, the more errors I see and my urge to draw it all from the beginning again grows stronger XP

Wooo thanks ^-^
Those tutorials are probably why I could never manage it before. Using the head tutorial instead of drawing freehand really helped get everything in the right place. Now I've just gotta practice some more and then move on to bodies. I just hope it goes better than my other attempts >> *shudders at the memories of his mutant stick figures*

Thank you Zeph ^^
I plan on practising from now. Frustration from starting all over so many times aside, I had fun with it :3

I looked at the picture too long again last night and my urge to tweak it got the better of me. X3
I changed a few things and finally got around to scanning it. I think I've improved some things but that could just be me lying to my brain so I dun try changing it again :P
