"You ready?" Billy asked. Spike nodded. He was instantly splashed with freezing water as the kids sprayed him with the hose outside behind the barn. "Soap!" Spike called. Lucy tossed him a bar and he began to wash. The water ran red as it slid off his body. Moments later, Billy shut off the valve. Spike stood there dripping wet. He got down on all fours and shook out his fur before he stood back up and had Lucy toss him a towel. As he wiped himself down, Billy handed him his clothes from off the line. Spike smiled. "Thank you." As he slid on the camo pants, Lucy came up and stuck out her hand, his dog tags clanking as they hung. Spike smiled and placed them around his neck. "So what now?" Billy asked as Spike bent down to tie his boot laces. Spike remained silent for a moment. "I leave for the city." He replied as he tied his other boot. "But it's blocked off. How will you get in?" Billy interjected. Spike shrugged. "I'll figure that part out when I need to."

Spike walked back into the barn. He found the stall the kids had found him in and dug around in the hay. He found the gun he'd hid and slipped it back into his pants. As he walked out of the barn doors, he looked over to Billy and Lucy. Lucy ran up and hugged him around his legs, pressing her face up against his fur. "Bye bye, Spike." Spike gave a light smile. "Thank you both." He said. "Will we ever see you again?" Billy asked. Spike thought for a moment. "Perhaps." Lucy finally released her grip and took a few steps back. "Wait!" Lucy yelled as Spike turned to leave. She pulled out another cookie, bigger than the last and handed it to him. Spike smiled. He walked back and took it from her. "Good bye." He said as he took a bite out of it and began his walk back into the forest.

stop, you!..... the sound of a voice startled cat ready to jump to either side someone caught up with him and grabbed his shoulder... spinning round cat saw the waiter holding the change in his hand..... "you look hard up, that one was on the house...... he held out the change, cat extended his arm and that was when he noticed... his furred hands and claws.... the waiter dropped the change each coin clanking onto the pavement....... cat turned and ran down the alley....... STOP!.... the cry came from behind cat stopped at the end of the alley looking dead straight at the waiter standing there... he had picked up the change....... walking over, cat growled...... the waiter stopped and handed the change over to cat.... "take it...... run, and dont stop....dont try to get out...... just hide" the waiter turned and walked back to the cafe..... cat stood stunned, looking at the change in his hand like it was treasure.......... he turned and walked to the end of the alley, and continued walking, the words still reverberating in his head........run, the same as spikes last word................
