White Wolf Guardian Art
« on: December 03, 2009, 07:04:51 AM »
I have a lot of art from my past years in school and I just made a new piece today so I wanted to show it for all to see. Please be gentle in commentary, I know I'm not that good. I usually draw geometrical artwork and I tried my hand at an animal today :). It took me about 5 hours long in Photoshop CS2 to create, considering I haven't used it in about 4 years in this manner, I think this drawing came out okay. I used a fox photo as a guide to draw it, because that's the only way I can draw real life objects unfortunately.

Here is my fox:

I'll post some more stuff later, this is all I have for now.

Looks pretty good. Have you ever considered drawing by using basic shapes? Circles, squares, rectangles ect... they help.

That's how I did it actually x.x, one huge circle for the head, two triangles for ears, then a couple eyes, and a nose, the rest was shading and super smudging.

Oh man, I'm no good with that at all, it never comes out very good when I try that because I don't have the same abilities as I can in photoshop, I'll show some of my pencil work too later, really bad drawings though XD

that's really quite an impressive fox. well done.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

Thanks guys ^_^ and yes I did use a mouse Horror I don't have a tablet or drawing pad unfortunately x.x

Anyways, as I said I would, I uploaded a some of my old artwork and here they are (My scanner didn't work so I had to take pictures):

(From left to right) My original WWG Drawing,  A robot I made called Styrix, A dream I had of a white wolf, A shotgun wielding fox

This was for a class project in 11th grade when we had to choose an animal to represent us, obviously we know what I chose to be XD

I drew this Sonic-esque picture a looong time ago, its been in my leather binder for 6 years and I finally decided to back it up on a photo because the paper is wearing out x.x

This is a poster of my 12th grade work in a compilation of photos on a background, didn't take long to make but all of the different pictures were separate projects, none of them were spectacular from that year, but they were decent.

I have two other MUCH better Photoshop made drawings that I cannot seem to find, but if I do I will upload them later, anyways I have another project I'm working on and I'll show that later when it's finished ;)

Actually I like the sketches, they show more style. Ever thought of combining the two? Like draw on paper scan or take a photo then doing them up in photoshop?

I have tried before, but there's so much work caused by the "invisible pencil errors" (ex. a smudge here, a smudge there x.x). Really messes up selection areas, but I guess if I have enough time I will try that again. All of those pictures I showed are the ones where I sketched either one thing or several things and I drew it all together, my doodles look terrible. I mean the fox with the shotgun took me about an hour to draw.
