"Well, it's nice that you're following a code..." Mahi said. "But it's not necessary. Nobody need be indebted to me for any reason." She continued to watch the road and those who passed by. She didn't like the idea of someone following her around and doing things for her, especially not for four years. She sighed and just sat there. Sometimes the job got really boring, but she would never trade it for anything.

"Doesn't matter, I need to fulfill it or it's death. Very painful, scary death. Almost happened to me once when a drunk noticed his coins were coming out of his pockets into my hand by hapenstance. "
*Shiro shuddered*
"Scary 4 years, that was"

[KittKat chunky~]

"heyup Kitt... passing through again? you know we dont ask for no money off you... but.."

Kitt jumped down from his dark tan horse, beside the large built canine before him...

"well for that i do thank you constable... and.... youre free show as well.."

at that Kitt flourished his paw, a white dove appearing and fluttering twice around the guard tower before landing back onto the felines arm...

"very good Kitt... but... i have seen the dove trick before.."

Kitt raised an eyebrow sceptically, closing both paws around the dove with a crushing movement, the constable flinched, before beaming when Kitt opend his paws again to show a rose....

"oh, very good.... that one i had not seen before... but the dove?"

a small white birds head appeared from the horses saddle bag, letting out a shrill coo...

"oh... honey... you shouldnt re-appear... it spoils the trick.."

the constable laughed, watching the small dove land on the felines paw...

"do not worry Kitt, you and honey should be getting on your way... be back earlier today, gates closing before dark.." Kitt jumped into the saddle of his horse, setting off again, the white dove perched on his shoulder, head turning this way and that...

"Do as you wish, but it will be a very boring four years for you." Mahi responded, shrugging slightly. She reached over and grabbed the stoker, turning some and stoking the fire then putting the stoker back. "I spend most of my time here in the shop and some time at home." She turned her head to the left, her home being to the left of the workshop. "I don't really go anywhere else unless I need to get more food." This definitely would be a boring four years for him because she was indeed telling the truth.

[Philly Tanuki]

Philly stopped and hopped off his horse by a river.  He decided this would be a good time to rest.  He sat down beside the river and pulled some bread out of his bag.  Snapping it in half, he started eating the loaf, taking a break between bites every now and then to take a sip of water from the river.  After he finished eating he stood up brushing the crumbs off himself and looked up into the sky.  He figured at his current rate of travel he would get to town sometime after nightfall.  That would mean the gates would be closed and there would be guards walking the streets of the town.  He didn't want to get caught after curfew, especially since he would be an intruder.  Even though he used to live there, he wouldn't be considered a citizen.  Hopping back on his horse, he rode off down the road, in the direction of his destination.

"Well after 300 years on this earth, and another 10000 to go, i think i can spare a few years of boredom. Come to think of it, all these years of evading death, a four year respite would come nicely. Who knows? With all of the anti you know what going around, we may see action yet."

Mahi just sat there. There was no getting him to leave her alone, apparently. She was going to have to just learn to deal with him being around, even though she didn't need him there. She listened to the sound of birds chirping in the distance and horses hooves on the cobblestone road. The sound was comforting.

the birdsong was coming from 'honey' the white dove that Kitt had trained to take part in several of his conjuring acts.... the feline was riding his dark tan horse back through the town, having just gotten back from the nearby village before they closed the gates... darkness was starting to fall and he had been lucky not to get locked out... riding wearily through the street, he rubbed his paws together... it was gonna be a cold night... passing the blacksmiths he dismounted and, tying his horse up beside a water trough, walked into the warm interior.... 'honey' the white dove perched on his shoulder, bright beady eye watching...

"good evenin' miss Smythe... Shiro.." he nodded first to the blacksmith, then to the fox...

[Soryu/Miayuki Isumi]

Miayuki finally stirred from her sleep and noted the fur standing in front of the window staring outwards "If your wondering you passed out... You were quite hurt... I fixed it" she said stumbling as she stood "Stupid backlash" she muttered looking him over "Well feel free to leave whenever you feel fit to do so I have to get to work" she said heading out the door and back onto the trail heading into town noticing the man from earlier and trickster as well "Same old company eh Mahi?" she asked with a soft smile her color was a little lighter than earlier due to the lack of energy. She stripped and caught herself "Man... really drained myself"
