Hope Dies slowly revived

Howl nodded. "As am I. Spike, introduce Eddie to the rest of our group."

Spike looked up from the grill at Howl then at Eddie. He facepalmed. "Oh of course." He turned around to face the rabbits and Kitt. "Guys, this is Eddie." He looked at Eddie. "Eddie, this is Gerren, Asia, and Kitt...There was another one...Ross I think. But I don't know where he is." The fox went back to grilling.

Eddie walked over to the rabbits and cat were sitting. He sat down next to them and crossed his legs. "Hey. Nice to meet you." He said offering his hand to Asia.

"Hi," Asia mumbled as he shook Eddie's hand. After that the boy was quite quiet. Gerren spoke up instead,
"So Eddie, what's your story?"

Eddie looked at Gerren. "Well, before the crash, I was on my break from working in the engine room. Suddenly, I was called back in since I was informed that there was a problem with one of the main power cells." He looked down into the sand. "Before I opened the door if felt like the whole bottom half of the ship got torn off. I guess one of the main engines exploded from an issue with the power cells. At that moment, everything went blank. I woke up out here maybe a mile away. I smelled some barbeque and here I am." He said looking up. "What about you guys?"

Howl sighed. "Well, I had joined my brother on this ship because he was a rich noble, and we were going to write a book together about our adventures across the universe. Yet, one the day of the explosion, my brother and I were apparently taken to medical bay 5. When the ship crashed, however, the whole place was wrecked, only leaving me to live on. The body of who was once my brother is still on that ship, I carried him to the bridge, where I laid him down, there was no way of carrying him any farther. That is how I ended up in this twisted mess." He took out another smoke and lit it up. "But at-least I've got some new people that I can call friends."

Spike looked over at Howl. A frown crossed his face before he looked down on the sand then turned his attention back to the steaks. He pulled one off the grill. It was bloody and hung from the tip of his knife. "First rare, who wants it?" Spike asked looking to the group.

Howl raised his hand. "I'll have the rare one, I always like mine juicy."

Gerren resisted the urge to wretch as he eyed the carcass suspisciously

Kitt looked up at Eddie, dawning realisation... "uh... hi.... you remember me? I was the guy who blew the power circuits, sections 3 through 12 on my first day.." he rubbed the back of his neck nervously... that first day hadnt been too good...

Eddie looked at Kitt. "...Kitt? Oh, KITT!" Yeah I remember you!" he laughed. "How could I forget? Hehehe. I'm glad you made it out, Kitt."

Kitt laughed as well "unsurprisingly, i'm quite glad that i got out too..." he watched Spike in anticipation, waiting for the next available meat, his stomach growled as he watched the sizzling meat...

Taking a bite out of the meat, Howl smiled. "This is great...thank you, Spike." When he looked at Kitt, he frowned. "Kitt, perhaps you would like a bite of some of my deer, it's mighty tasty."

Kitt looked at Howl's deer, stomach growling again... "yeah, sure does look it.... but nah i'l wait for the next piece... i aint that hungry.." contrary to his last statement his stomach growled again...

"No problem, Howl." Spike pulled off a second piece of meat and handed it over to Kitt. He pulled off another and gave it to Eddie. He went back to grilling the next two pieces as they needed to be on longer to drain the blood for the rabbits.

"Thanks, Spike." Eddie looked at his piece before he tossed it into his mouth and swallowing it whole. He looked around at the debris that scattered the area. "Does anyone know if someone's been sent to find us?" He asked, looking at the rest of the group. Spike kept flipping steaks when he answered. "I have no idea but I don't expect to be rescued in the next day or two." He looked up from the meat and continued. "I suggest we set up camp, build shelters, keep the fire going, and maybe try to find more food to last us. Meat does spoil you know." Spike said, glancing at the rabbits for a fraction of a second before looking back at the meat on the grill.

Eddie had caught the action. He stared at the fox before looking down and nodding. "I'll look for more food. I'm in the mood for trying something new...anyone feeling adventurous?" He asked, looking at the group to see if anyone would join him.

Howl was fiddling with his notepad after finishing his meat, and looked up to Eddie. "Well, Spike is cooking, I've got burnt legs, I'm not to sure that Gerren and Asia would take kindly to hunting, so...that leaves Kitt, that is, once he's done with his meat." He blew out some smoke and went back to drawing, then something occurred to him. "Wait...what's the name of this place again?"
