Hope Dies slowly revived

Kitt jumped quickly to the side of Ross, dodging the vomit... "c'mon man, get it all up.... you throw it all up it'l help with the toxin, whatever it is.... "

"Oh god...My insides are burning!"

Spike rushed over. He looked into Ross' eyes, checking each one of them over. "Hey! Eddie! Get over here!" Eddie looked over and ran over to Spike and looked down at Ross. "He's been poisoned with something. I sure as hell don't know what it is and if he doesn't get help soon he's gonna be in trouble. He could go into cardiac arrest." He looked up at Eddie as if searching in his eyes for a solution. Eddie looked down at Ross. "...What's he been poisoned by?" He asked. Spike looked over at the tentacles on the ground. "Whatever that thing was I assume." Spike replied. Eddie was silent, Ross seemed to be getting worse and worse by the second. "We could try an anti-venom." Eddie suggested. Spike looked up at Eddie as if he were crazy. "If you don't have the right venom you'll kill him!" Spike intergected. Eddie looked at Spike. "What do we have to lose?"

"A creature that lives underwater in a completely different planet as you and is yet to be identified would have not the slightest relation with your venom. You'd have to be on something in order to try it out, besides poison." Howl looked at Ross, then back at Eddie. "Yet I suppose he couldn't be better off if we don't give it a try. Well, I'll leave that decision to Ross, right now, I need to find something that can help my legs." After taking a cigarette out, putting it in his mouth and lighting it up, he limped away into the forest. "I do hope you don't die, lad, but seeing as how I cannot be of any aid, I shall tend to my own needs for a moment."

Ross went silent for a moment, pondering this life or death situation was hard in such a state of shock "Ugh...AGH!...Ugh...." Ross passed out leaving the decision up to Spike. Kitt ,Eddie and Howl

When Ross collapsed, Howl turned around and looked at him. "Oh, never mind, looks like he could use my help!" Limping as fast as he could, he sat next to Ross and put his ear next to his mouth. "Ross is still breathing, but we need to get rid of that venom fast! Eddie, considering this is our only hope, go ahead and administer your anti-venom, I don't think it'll do him more harm that he's been through. If it doesn't work...well...at least you put him out of his misery."

Eddie walked over next to Howl and knelt down in front of Ross. He stared at Ross hesitantly. "Okay...here it goes." He clamped down on Ross' neck and began to inject the venom. After a few seconds, he released Ross and stood up, taking a step back to see what would happen.

Ross convlulsed violently, before vomiting and slowly opening his eyes "What happended?" he spluttered

"MY GOD! IT WORKED!" Howl hugged Ross very tightly. "I knew you could make it, lad." He then looked at Eddie and smiled. "Well, mate, you just saved someone's life! A job well done, Eddie! If only we had ale to celebrate with."

Eddie looked down at Howl and Ross. "...Whoa...I didn't think that would have worked. Cool!" Spike looked over. "I think Ross should take it easy for now...So I think the party will have to wait and so will the ale." He smiled.

"Bah! We'll celebrate once we get out of here, right?" After a while, he looked into the distance, pondering the exotic plant life and mountains. So, Howl decided to draw all the new things he saw, including the weird river creature they had encountered recently, making the sketches as detailed as possible. Blowing out smoke from his mouth every now and then, still having his half used cigarette between his lips. "This place is beautiful, holding tons of unrevealed secrets and life. I wish I could explore this planet, if only I weren't nearly crippled...."

Spike looked down once Howl had mentioned getting out of there. He wasn't entirely sure how they would be rescued or if they were going to be rescued. He looked up at the ship then out into the distance at the mountains. "You guys don't suppose that there could be civilization on this planet do ya?"

Howl thought. "Well, they certainly aren't advanced, considering that they would have sent a search party of some sort by now. I don't think we should search for others until Ross recovers."

Kitt sniggered, chewing on his mint gum... "Civilisation?... sure... we just gonna get rescued by monkeys... well i agree with Howl, we lucky that Ross is even alive....we need this camp up before night..."

"Sure alls good and well now, but what the hell are we gonna do?"
