Hope Dies slowly revived

Spike narrowed his eyes. "I'ma going to check it out." Spike said to Kitt before turning to follow the source of the voice. Spike removed his white chef's coat and tossed it aside. He walked slowly, listening carefully to anything he heard coming in that direction. Suddenly, he could make out another voice whispering to another. He stopped and listened but heard nothing. He removed his knife from his belt and hid it behind his back. He made it to the corner and quickly peered around the corner before pressing back up against the wall. He saw two rabbits walking away at quite a pace. One seemed quite young and seemed to be being scolded by the other, a lot older looking. They didn't seem too dangerous or threatening but Spike wasn't about to make assumptions. He decided to follow. The fox made his moves quickly and quietly until he finally made his way up to the older rabbit and grabbed him from behind, holding the knife to his throat, and pulling him back from the younger rabbit. "Who are you!? Who's the kid!? And what are you doing playing games with us!?" He demanded.

Howl raised his hand, limping towards the fox. "Calm down! They were just tending to my wounds was all." His leg and head rappings were extremely noticeable. "Can you please unhand him, I'm quite grateful for their help." Howl was trying to carry his dead brother's body, but struggling.

Spike looked between the wolf, the young rabbit, and the one he was holding a knife to. He released the rabbit he was threatening and took a step back. he looked at all the individuals that faced him. "...Sorry if I was being extreme. I was only taking precaution. I hope you understand but I don't advise calling out to survivors and then disappearing." He said as he put his knife away and looked at the body the wounded wolf was struggling to carry and looked down. "My name is Spike. I'm glad to see the three of you survived...I'm very sorry about your friend." He said, gesturing the body. "Would you like some help?" He offered.

Kitt had followed Spike... as usual he was always one for breaking the rule of 'you stay here'.... he stood slightly further apart from the group, throwing his wrench into the air, then catching it again, tightening the sleeves of his overalls around his waist as he did so...

Howl sighed. "I guess I'm going to need help down those upside-down stairs I had hurt my head on, but that can wait." He looked at the body. "This was my brother, he died in Medical Bay 5 with everyone else on that floor, except for me......don't go up any higher, or you'll have to go through lots of fire, as I did. That's how I got these wounds." He sat down and winced from pain. "I am Howl, writer and musician." He held out his paw for a shake.

Spike shook Howl's paw. "Nice to meet ya." He looked back. "I left my friend back down the hall. I think he said something about there being another survivor he'd left back as well." Spike's ears picked up footsteps. "As a matter of fact, I think that's him."  he said, turning to look back down the hall from which he'd came.

Kitt ran up to beside Spike, coughing as he leant against the taller fox... "hrrrm... ugh.. stupid smoke... i left Ross just back there... he seems pretty distraut bout' his parents....." he looked up to Howl, holding out a paw to shake as well... "hey, names Kitt... engineer aboard the HMS shipwreck..." he sniggered, flicking his tail...

He smiled. "Nice to meet you two." He shook both their paws. "Well Kitt, do you have an assessment on how many floors we have left that are usable, because the floor holding Medical Bay 5 is completely torn up."

Kitt sucked in his a breath... like a backwards whistle, and was in every sector of the galaxy mechanics body language for 'thats gonna cost ya a pretty penny'...
"well.... we grounded pretty deep, so i'd say easily anything thats below the ground level will be completely buckled... about two floors above that will be rather unsafe... in general... just stick to the centre of the corridors... common sense really...."

Asia flicked between Gerren and spike, then at the knife. He moved over to the blade that was in the safe and wrapped it in the blanket along with the other supplies. Gerren stroked his neck, staring at Spike, unsure of the situation, he moved slowly between him and Asia.
"We could try to get into those trees by the main screen," he said. "They look sturdy enough, though we should keep an eye on some of the larger birds."

Spike watched as the younger rabbit moved over to the safe to grab a bundle while the older rabbit moved in between them. He narrowed his eyes.
"I don't believe I've had the privilege of learning your names." Spike said, looking between the rabbits then shooting a stare at the younger one.

[Asia Kali Yusufzai]

"Well our social niceties dont follow the path of knives first, names later," said older rabbit, "but if you must know, I'm Gerren, and that there is my brother, Asia." His expression was calm, he rarely faced such situations but as a companion to an important prince, he had been taught atleast basic guidance on it. Even if they hadnt, he would do everything he could for Asia's safety.
The young prince merely watched the exchange, keeping quiet, keeping back.

Spike smiled. "Well, Gerren, nevertheless, it is nice to meet your and your brother's acquaintance." He turned to look at Kitt. "Kitt, maybe we should go and pick up Ross since we'll be making our way out of here."

Another rush of pain went through Howl's legs and he bit his lip, these burns were very bad. "Wait, is there a doctor of some sort on this ship that is still alive? I got my wounds fixed up a bit by Gerren, yet I don't think it will be enough."

Spike looked at Howl. "I'm afraid not...but maybe I could take a look at it. I've seen some pretty nasty stuff when I was deployed. I ain't no medic but I'll see what I can do." Spike said before walking over to Howl. "Why don't you take a seat and I'll have a look." He paused and looked up at the group. "Umm, I don't suppose anyone would have a first aid kit would they?"
