Asia and Gerren followed along, though the prince's pace was less than a crawl, shivering, gripping the tree, staring straight ahead, not daring to look around. Gerren sat behind him, ready to stop him if he fell.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

Spike slowly followed behind Gerren who slowly followed behind Asia. Spike looked down off the branch to the ground below. It was quite a fall...unless one knew how to fall just right. He looked back at the group crawling along. The young rabbit seemed to be holding them up. Spike didn't mind. They weren't in any rush as far as he was concerned. He understood his fear. Spike kept his pace and kept silent as he followed along.

Howl smiled and looked at Spike, "Your quite the climber! Where did you learn to do that?" He blew out smoke in the opposite direction so it wouldn't get in Spike's face.

Spike smiled and looked at Howl. "Boot camp." He replied. Spike looked up ahead where Kitt and the rest had finally stopped. Kitt looked like he'd finally reached the main trunk while Asia and Gerren were not far behind. Spike looked down at the lower branch. He released his grip of the branch he held on to and dropped to the lower branch, absorbing the momentum with his knees. He dug his claws back into the wood and as quickly as a squirrel, he made his way across the branch and down the main trunk.  He jumped off the wood the last few feet and landed on the ground with a heavy thud. He looked back up the tree at the rest of the group and smiled.

With a struggle, Howl slowly lowered himself down from the branch, using only his hands, he landed softly on the next branch and winced from more pain. While trying to get down with wobbly feet, he managed to get to the last branch. Then Howl grabbed the main trunk and slide down. Limping over to the rest of the group, he smiled. "Hey, not bad for a guy with burnt legs, am I right?"

Gerren climbed down, hanging off the high branch before letting go, bypassing the lower branch and landing on his feet without a worry. He looked to the others and shrugged,
"Strong legs," he said before looking back up to Asia. The young prince looked down around him, watching everyone else jump down. He was nowhere near as brave. "Come on, jump down, I'll catch you," said Gerren. Asia didnt reply, shuffling around, trying to find the safest way down. He couldn't find any.
"Uhhmm... I'm ok here I think," he said.
"No you're not, come on, it's safe, I've got you," said his guardian who held out his arms for the boy. Eventually, slowly, Asia slid one leg off, then the other, looking below before dropping. His clothes snagged and tore on a branch, causing him to tumble, Gerren barely caught him as he fell face first, toppling over backwards hitting his feet on the dirt. The boys eyes were wide with fear as he shook, and grabbed hold of his guardian. "Ah look at your clothes," said Gerren. "The royal tailor will have a fit when he sees this." The boy was dressed in a rich red shalwar kameez, accented with gold embroidery. The cost of it was astronomical. Gerren wore something similar, though less ornate and more black.

Kitt was already wandering out from the rest of the group, marvelling at the wierd floral display, all vibrant purples and red, with swirling greens and yellows...
"woooah... seriously trippy man..."
He looked back to the group, brushing some of the dirt off his overalls...

"so... i reckon we need to make shelter... or at least find somewhere safer than here.... i reckon... that we are actually safer higher up... we find somewhere good we could set up in a tree or summin'?"

Asia did a double take, and marched over to kitt, "But we just got out of a tree! why do we need to go back into one?!" From behind, someone laughed; it was Gerren. "Don't laugh at me," Asia said with a smile, his own chuckle bubbling through, "I could have died just then!" They were both full on grinning.

Kitt sniggered, the sight of people laughing always made him burst out laughing as well... though he did his best not to...
"yes... we just got out of a tree, but i dont feel safe down here, most predators dont climb... and right now... i dont feel like being prey..."
and with that he burst into laughter, slapping his paw on his thigh...
"hah!... your faces... oooh, sorry... you guys crack me up.."

Spike managed to contain his laughter but failed to contain his smile. "I don't know about you guys but I'm starving." He looked around the forest at the strange looking vegetation that grew. "God, I could really go for some margaritas right about now." He scanned the woods, listening for any sounds of wildlife other than birds. He looked back towards the crash site where debris lay scattered about on the floor. There were luggage bags, pieces of metal, and even bodies of the fatalities. He walked over and immediately picked up the bag nearest him and tore it open, quickly rummaging through. He pulled out clothes, a camera, and what he was looking for, a cell phone." "HAHA!" He yelled in success. He flipped it open and turned it on. His hope instantly died. "Can you guys believe you can't reception around here?" the fox put the phone in his pocket and gave up looking through the bag. He walked over to the next bag and began to dig through it. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, paper, and a Swiss army knife.

He wiped his face in frustration. He squatted, resting his arms on his knees. He looked around and fixed upon the body of a passenger who seemed to have fallen from the wreckage. He wandered over, knelt down and looked at it. It was a young deer. Blood leaked from it's mouth and all four legs had been broken. Without hesitation, Spike immediately took the body by the legs and began to drag it off back to where the group had been standing. "Look at what I found." Spike said while he pulled out his knife. He stabbed into the carcass and began to cut off the skin.

With a smile, Howl limped over to where Spike threw the cigarettes, picked up the pack and the extra light, then stuff them in his pocket. Then he struggled back over. "A good idea, sadly we don't have a fire to cook the meat, though I would eat if raw if I had to. The only problem is that Asia and Gerren are royalty, unless they too would be willing to eat raw meat?" He said, blowing out more smoke.

Spike stopped carving the meat and looked up at Howl. "Well actually that lighter I found that you picked was for the fire." He went back to carving. "We'll use metal off the ship to grill the meat over but right now I need something to burn." He tore off one of the legs and tossed it aside. He looked up at the rabbits. "I hope you don't mind eating meat. It's all there is right now...and can somebody get me some firewood and sheet metal?"

"yo... i'm on the metal..." Kitt walked over to the ships hull, choosing a small section of the outer sheet metal that was buckled at the edges from the impact.... he stuck his spanner in between two of the bolts, he wrenched against the seam of the section, and with a loud screeching he pulled the metal off the hull....

hefting the steel plate he dragged it over beside Spike, panting... "that... good?"
