Kin Chronicles Realm: Betrayal of the Guardians

Both Szardas kept their swords raised to the guard position over White.... there was nothing they could really do, neither knew the faintest bit of magika so their lives rested entirely upon white... "C'mon White... this isnt how it ends for us... for you... dammit c'mon you cleric!"
Vladimir had backed right the way up to White, his son behind him..

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

The earth-users laughed maniacally but then slipped out of the wall as the shadows they were sticking out of disappeared with the bursting of the fire-walls. Their spells dispersed, the water being spread out everywhere. "Hey hotheads! Watch it! Just because we have more fun than you with the twins, doesn't mean you can ruin this for us! Father will be mad if we don't kill these people!"

Drevo got up from Korius being smashed into him and shook off being drenched now. He looked around and saw Kiana trapped in a whirl wind, but he also saw the downed earth mages complaining. He wanted to help Kiana being that she was against her opposite element and would be having trouble, but he also had the chance to most likely get one of those pesky mages. Drevo made a judgement call, Kiana wasn't in any immediate danger so he darted for the downed mages unsheating his katana, jumping into the air and bringing it down to one of the mages in a stabbing motion.

The earth-users sank into the ground while they were still complaining, as the twins absorbed them back into the shadows. The wind-users withdrew their attack and disappeared into the ceiling. All the magic-users disappeared, actually, withdrawing their attacks and all reappeared by the door to the throne room. However, the twins didn't appear with them.

Korius rushed to Kiana's side. "Are you ok? How much Majicka do you have left?" He quickly turned his eyes and scanned over to the group of magic-users before them. The twins must have already used their Majicka to their limits, and the two fire-users must have generated too much light for them.

The 8 magic-users grouped their hands together and a ball of light formed in the middle and grew into a large vortex in a second and shot at the party. A flaming wind vortex shot at them with sharp, needle-like rocks mixed with it, and a sharp, spear-like water jet shot through the middle. The vortex's diameter was more than 3 meters wide.

Korius grabbed Kiana and backed up to where White and the Szardas were. He drove Valia into the ground like before, in front of him, "I hope you have enough to help me block this, White. If not, this might just kill us all."

Kiana would have fought against the wind-users attack if she had had the opportunity but they withdrew their attack before she could. "I'm fine. I have enough." She responded to Korius, glancing over at him. She actually let Korius pull her back towards the others. She knelt down and created a short, V-shaped wall in front of the group to block at least some of the attack. "Get down!" She yelled at the Szardas since they were still standing.

Vladimir dropped to the floor, pulling Kitt by the back of his hood with him... he threw his son down to the floor and covered him with himself, ignoring Kitt's complaints....
"White, you better have somthing left up one of those sleeves of yours!"

[White Wolf Guardian]

*White looked at Korius with a lot of concern and at the same time that "Oh crap" expression* "Well I really hate using this but I guess now I don't have to... I made a backup supply of some of my energy in case I ran out, but I haven't used it in a long time..." *The wolf took his butterfly knife out of his cloak and brought it out, the white color of the handles being absorbed into his paw and the natural blue color returning to the design as the contained energy returned to himself; the wolf put it away after finishing the transfer* "Alright Korius, I'll give this my 'best' shot." *He clenched his teeth as his paws looked like they were being strangled with the wave of energy passing from them; the wave of majicka looked as thick as a miniature monsoon and he poured it into the shield that defended the group making the barrier much thicker and a darker color till it appeared orange* "I literally have given you as much as I can right now, if it's not enough I'm going to need another source..." *His eyes showed signs of fatigue as he tried to stay awake*

Drevo grumbled having missed the mages. He sheathed his katana and hurried over to where the others were gathering. Kiana had put up her barrier followed by White's barrier. Drevo was a bit unnerved not being able to do anything to help, it wasn't like he could press himself against the barrier and make it any better. Instead he just readied himself, the mages were clearly almost tapped, and this would leave them vulnarable enough to make another move. He would have done it while they were preparing their attack but he didn't see the twin dark mages, they were likely hiding, ready to defend this immense attack.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

The attack blasted through the two barriers and destroyed the entire front face of the Palace alongside the front of the outer wall. Luckily all that happened to the party was being blown out of the castle, back into the courtyard with a few minor abrasions and lacerations. Korius grunted as he got up, knees a little shaken at seeing an attack so powerful as to destroy two Mages' barriers and the face of a castle and its protective wall. He looked forward and found the children all on the floor. That must have taken the rest of their Majicka.

Korius hefted up Valia and took a step forward but found himself sinking into the ground. He looked around and noticed that even though they were outside, one of the Palace towers had fallen from the attack and now casted a shadow over the whole party. Damn these kids! However, this time, there was no laughter or giggling echoing everywhere, but the sound of heavy breathing. "Come out you little kids! I know you and your friends are out of Majicka. There's no point in trying to stop us. *Continues to struggle* Why protect such an evil man?" The other magic-users near the door of the throne room also struggle to their knees, gathering together to attempt another attack. All their voices rang in unison. "Our father is not evil, and we will protect him with out life. We are his good children, and good children do not disobey their father."

This time, however, there was no big attack, but 8 individual ones. Liry shot a long, spear-like waterjet. Piry shot out a shower of ice needles. Kriole and Leo shot out a dragon and a phoenix made of fire. The earth-users sent forth a wave a spikes to emerge from the ground, through the floor, that traveled via the ground towards the group. The wind-users, together, shot a man-sized ball of highly compressed air. Korius' eyes widened at seeing the attacks and took out the twin sai, throwing them at the attacks.

The first sai landed the path of the spikes and prevented the center of it to progress, the attack passing harmlessly around the group. The second sai hit the air ball, bursting it while still inside the castle, and the sai being blown and stuck itself right into a pillar. Korius braced himself with Valia, since he was in front of the group. Dammit! if only those twins weren't here, we'd all be able to move.

[Vee Katame: His Wolfy]

Kiana grumbled as she stood up before the shadow stopped held her in place, not making any sound of pain even though she was feeling a lot of it. With four moves, she brought up sections of rock to stop the remaining four attacks. "They'll be down soon enough." She thought to herself as she stared towards the magic-users. "They would have done another big attack at seeing the effects of that one and since they didn't they must be almost, if not completely, out of majicka."

*White growled as he literally jumped off the ground from being pissed off* "Seriously what is up with this overpowering majicka crap!? You hear me you cheaters??? Why don't you fight one on one with one of us, HUH?!" *The wolf clearly had not slept enough and was getting irritated, cranky, and frustrated at the same time but more than willing at this point to fight just anyone to feel like he was at least somewhat successful after several humiliating retreats* "Am I not the only one who thinks this damn leader of theirs' is just some fat cat with a lot of power that manipulates people and then kills them when he's finished?"

The twins used more Majicka and the shadows extended arms to pull down the jumping White and restrained him. Their voices could be heard through the walls as they struggled in pain, trying to squeeze whatever Majicka they had left to contain the party. Near the throne room doors, the other 8 were already barely able to keep their eyes open as they crawled over to the group slowly, biting onto small knives in their mouths, desperately trying to finish the job. The twins called out to their "siblings", "Hurry up, guys! We can't restrain them for too much longer!"

Vladimir pulled his crossbow up to one shoulder, his muscles screamed in protest as he tensed his finger on the trigger... "White... Fatcat?..." ... he smirked as he brought one of the mages painfully into his sights... He opened fire on the mage who was the most seperated from the rest, in the space of half a minute he had unleashed ten bolts....

Kitt, younger and not expecting the attack from the shadow mages attempted to follow in his fathers lead... only to find he could barely move an inch... he growled in annoyance as he watched his father launch a volley of bolts... "Stupid... magica.... frackin'... annoying... cant... move..." he cursed under his breath, loading a rack of bolts into his bow, even this tiniest of movements tore at every tendon of his arms...

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

The twins' voices conveyed their pain as more arms came up from the shadows and grabbed the Szardas' arms and everyone sank lower into the ground, more than half their bodies submerged into the ground. "You don't scare us. If we don't obey father, we die anyways. But we're good children, we always obey Father. Now, please die." More shadows then came out of the ground, wrapping around half the group's necks.

Drevo was helpless to do anything other than grab at the shadow strangling him. The shadows practically eating him, he had his bowstaff under his arms as if the shadows were quicksand and that was the only way he was going to stay above. But even that meant he was still being strangled. Drevo knew there was nothing he could do at this point so with his hand he was holding his bowstaff with tightened it's grip. But during that his other hand that was giving him his only supply of air slipped from it's position and the shadow completely cut of his air supply. Leaving him to gasp while he slowly lost consciousness.
