Kin Chronicles Realm: Betrayal of the Guardians

[KittKat chunky~]

Vladimir shunted Kitt behind him in anticipation of the lightning strike... a shield flared in front of them and White and he saw Kiana out of the corner of his eye, he muttered a thanks under his breath even as he drew his crossbow up to his shoulder...
"Letsa see what defensive abilities this guys got shall we?"
He launched only three bolts at the guardian, not intending to injure him, he used it as a bait....

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Provas watched as Drevo came to meet him alongside the bolts. He stopped in mid-stride as he charged his staff. Provas slammed his staff into the ground and the staff released a barrier of lightning. The bolts instantly fried on contact. Drevo was shocked and was sent flying towards White. As Drevo just rebounded, in one fluid motion from making the barrier, Provas wound up his staff and the barrier closed around the topaz, and he swung the staff, throwing the barrier at the party like a giant speeding boulder.

Korius, just regaining his bearings, quickly threw the twin sai in the path. Unfortunately, the sai merely rebounded since the attack was so powerful. The sai flew off in two directions, sticking right into the ground. Korius, in his mind, saw Koara in Kiana's place as the attack came for her. No! Not again! Korius quickly ran towards Kiana "Kiana!", getting in front of her. I guess there's no choice but to try. He delved into his body and channeled his into the katana as he drew it. With a powerful swing as he could make, Korius made a downswing of a wind-cutter. The barrier split in half quickly hit the floor on either side of Korius and Kiana, exploding on contact.

Provas hopped back twice from the explosion. "Interesting. I remember Koara had sealed away your Ki, but it seems you can still use it. However, I can already tell that it's taking its toll on your mind. Let's see how long you'll last before you get to killing your own comrades." Provas smirked evilly, and rightfully so. Korius' eyes began to glow periodically bright red, his mind slowly slipping into a bloodlusting rage. Provas then aimed his staff at the party. A ball of lightning shot towards the ground, catching the party off guard and began to form a lightning net on the ground.

[White Wolf Guardian]

*White falls over as Drevo smacks his shield* "Dammit, watch where you're... getting thrown !" *The wolf looks over to Korius* "Oh crap, not this again after that ninja fight. Is there any way you can remain sane while doing that, I mean last time we got lucky but this time I don't know with the whole crazy Provas!?" *He quickly noticed the net forming* "Hmm... I think Provas thinks that Korius has screwed himself and us over and intends to trap us in here with him so he can kill us off and then Provas can kill him off..." "Hell no!" *The wolf makes a running start and attempts to jump over the net forming*

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

The net rapidly began to spread. Anyone caught in this will be unable to move and be temporarily paralyzed.

[Vee Katame: His Wolfy]

Kiana was shocked by the power of Korius' defense with the combination of his Ki and katana as she stood up behind him. When the net was cast out, she quickly dove and rolled out of reach of the net. She quickly got to her feet and readied her staff. She punched the air and a pointed rock jutted out of earth in front of Provas aimed at his chest. She then stomped on the ground, bringing up chunks of rock and punching them towards Provas. She didn't expect them to end up actually hitting him because he was so much more powerful than her but she figured she'd give it a shot anyway.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Provas laughed as he swung his staff, lightning forming into a blade at the tip of it. The lightning blade didn't cut, but contact with the blade made the rocks explode. The blade disappeared after a couple of rocks, but Provas made a larger, stronger one in its stead. Lightning emanated from Provas as his evil smiled crawled further across his face.

Drevo saw White running at the net in what appeared to be an attempt to jump over it. Not thinking he would be able to make it Drevo gave him a leg up, catapulting him over the net. But as a result he was caught in the net and paralyzed, but it was better than having one of their defenders unable to move.

[White Wolf Guardian]

*White stumbled over as he fell over the net and landed on his face* "Oww... ugh wha.. happened?" *White turned around to see Drevo frozen where he had made his brave move* "Dammit Drevo... thank you, I'll return the favor soon enough.." *The wolf whispered to his comrade trapped behind the net and turned to where Provas held his ground* "Alright, well Korius is pretty much going to go chaotic soon, Kiana's moves aren't working, Drevo is paralyzed, and Kitt and Vladimir are busy backing everyone up with their long range attacks... and then there's me and my shields that are faltering... But I still have this." *The wolf raised the butterfly knife and moved away trying to make himself hidden* "This is probably the craziest thing I have ever considered, but damned if I do or don't, we could all die either way. I'll try to sneak behind him and make my move." *The wolf moved slowly and cautiously around the field of combat*

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Provas chuckled as Drevo got caught in the net. He quickly aimed the staff at him first and the topaz glowed, and fired a large bolt of lightning, the same as the one that fried the "Siblings". In a rush, Korius ran towards Drevo and jumped, kicking the wolf aside and out of the way. He crossed his arms in front of him and concentrated on his Ki. A small barrier of Ki (unseen) raised in front of Korius and took the brunt of the attack, but both of Korius' arms became charred as he flew back out past the blasted front face of the Palace. Korius grunted as he slowly got up, his eyes glowing red more and more frequently.

Provas laughed out loudly at Korius' condition. "Hahahahaha!! The great Korius Lambent completely burnt to incapacitation! Koara always brags about you and how that you have the power to kill Guardians in a fight! Look at you! You're pathetic! Look at how weak you are!" Provas ran up the middle to Korius, since everyone else had cleared out or was kicked out of the way. He grabbed Korius by the face and lifted him up. Provas' size and height as a tiger-Kin showed his prowess as he looked into Korius' eyes between his fingers. Provas' eyes glowed dominantly with lightning. "Time to say goodnight."

[Vee Katame: His Wolfy]

Kiana watched in slight horror as she saw what happened to Korius. She felt a little like she was frozen in place when Provas ran up the middle towards Korius. She watched and listened to all that was said and done. A slight rage boiled up inside of her after Provas finished speaking. "You know nothing of strength!" She hollered at Provas from where she stood. Her left hand was balled into a fist and her right hand was gripping her staff very tightly. "The only one who will be saying goodnight here is you!" She quickly pointed her staff at the ground then flicked the end upward, causing a wave of rock to come up between Korius and Provas where it came up and collided with Provas'  elbows. She then pushed the wall at Provas to push him away from Korius so Korius would have time to recover.

Provas' grip released at the surprise of the attack. Truly nothing he expected out of her. As he was being pushed back, he chuckled, "Very interesting, child. For one as young as yourself, to be at a mage-level, you are truly something else. It's a shame, though, that you would choose to go against me. If you repent now, I might forgive you and you may even replace those useless children I picked up from the remnants of the Academy." He pressed the topaz of his staff onto the rocks and fired another lightning bullet, destroying the bindings. Provas then turned his staff on Kiana, the topaz glowing brighter with a charge filling it up for another attack. "You forget, youngling, I have more than 1500 years of magic development under me, and enough Majicka to put an army away."

Drevo was suprised to be saved at this point, considering all the saving he had been doing he thought no one would return the favor. But he was glad he was saved considering Provas was charging an attack aimed for Kiana. He knew she would be able to block it but he could try to attack Provas to disrupt him and save Kiana some majika. So with that in mind Drevo shook off what was left of the paralysis and made another dart at Provas ready to unsheath his katana once more.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Unaware of Drevo, Korius forced himself up and ran at Provas. As he did, he kicked Valia off the strap and jumped up, biting down on Valia's handle. Korius pulled hard with his neck as he came bearing down on Provas. "Mmmeaff mmfer  mmfalonmf! (Leave her alone!)" Provas looked over to where the noise came from, the spell fading away from inside the topaz. "Hmm. Interesting. You can still fight?" Provas slid his hand further down his staff and extended it to hit Korius in the gut as he came down, the staff longer than Valia, considering the owner was larger than life. Lightning spewed from the topaz and shocked Korius. Korius screamed, Valia falling to the ground, in pain until he lost consciousness. Provas laughed maniacally and threw Korius aside, knocking him into Drevo.

Vladimir leapt out of the way of the net, grabbing Kitt by the back of his hood he pulled his son with him, ignoring the child's yelp of surprise... raising his crossbow he motioned for Kitt to do the same and whispered in his son's ear, before nodding... The two of them unleashed several bolts, one after the other, all aimed not at Provas... but at the staff he held.... Vladimir launched a lightning enscorcelled bolt into the fray as well, hopefully if Provas was distracted by being attacked on all sides; he would eventually make a mistake....

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Provas heard the bolts from the bows' strings and pointed his staff towards the Szardas. As the first bolt his the topaz, a lightning shield covered his front. As the lightning bolt hit the shield, it bounced right back at the Szardas, heading for Kitt. Provas laughed, forgetting that there was one more in the party, "Hahahaha!!! I can't believe you would actually try to hurt me with my own element! No matter what you do, you can't surprise me!"
