That could work, not without some difficulties though. A lot of contraceptives are against religious beliefs which can limit what can be done.

Do you think the only way for wage disparities to diminish is by way of government intervention?

Possibly. I think it may be the only way to ensure it's 100% but companies should be the ones spearheading such initiatives without the need for intervention. I personally cannot understand why anyone should be paid differently for the same job if their skill levels are the same.

Those are all very valid points, I wish we could trust the independent processes of our businesses to make things right for the common man, but it seems like there is either no motivation or nobody really cares enough to do anything about anything.

If you had the time, the means, and the abilities to form a company and pay people livable amounts of salary earnings per year, wouldn't you want your employees to make money that will actually keep them off the street?

I think it's a lack of thought, deep-seated sexism (notice how the majority of CEOs are old, white men) and profit being more important. Perhaps as newer companies are established, they will force some change in older ones.

I firmly believe that employees are the most important part of a business, they are needed and if they are happy then customers are happy. Not giving a living wage for a career-based employment just portrays that you don't care about those working for you.

Yeah, you're probably right about that, sexism seems to run rampant in our society, especially with all of those scandals that just went down in Hollywood recently and I'm sure many more will soon appear as more and more women will refuse to stay silent, as much as they should, because these actions should not be condoned by anyone.

Without employees, the entire functionality of any business is nonexistent, no matter how much automation we achieve, we will always need more employees to handle the automation maintenance and processes behind the scenes, more logistics employees, and more delivery drivers, etc etc and so forth.

Do you think that we are on the precipice of another worker's revolution if the situation does not change in the next 20 years as we move more towards a society with millennials and the "next gen" kids grow up and start working with possibly multiple majors and an even broader set of computer skills than we have ever seen before?

I'd like to think so, but a lot of those people are inherently lazy, they'd rather avoid work if they could in many cases and that could actually hold back on revolutionizing things.

A shift has to happen to remove the entitlement so many people feel they have otherwise things will not improve.

I believe that we have to improve or we will be stuck in a "race to the bottom" for all eternity, with or without "universal income" to balance some of the shortfalls.

It is likely, however, I don't really agree with it. Whilst everyone should be able to live, those jobs that are minimum wage are not there for raising a family or living comfortably, they are for learning and paying bills. If you want to go further in life you need to work for it.

I have no idea, maybe he thinks such questions are beneath me? But I don't usually wear a watch.

Probably my final year project for my Bachelor's degree. It was 93 pages long.

If you had to choose between a fireplace, base floor heater, or space heater, which one do you think is the most effective at making you feel warm?

[Tweak]

It depends on how large a space you need to heat and how quickly.

A fireplace, once lit, will produce heat quickly but isn't that effective at a distance.

A base floor heater allows the heat to rise so it warms a room better but then you lose heat to the ceiling and it tends to work at a lower temperature.

A space heater is, ironically, pretty similar in that is heats a small area fast but it doesn't spread that much.

Yeah, I didn't directly answer the question, take that!
