It is 60 degrees outside today, but it's always freezing in the office where I work.

Oh goodness me, I remember a health class I had during the summer of 2005, I had to take it so I could have one last health class I needed to transfer into my high school and I was going to get it by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. I walked into that classroom everyday wearing a sweatshirt while the teacher turned that AC down to "SUBZERO freeze your eyebrows off" tier until you can't stay awake any longer and I NEVER SAID A THING. A+

Are you going to get extra credit on an assignment you have worked very hard to blow away an entire classroom with, VERY SOON?

Are you going to become famous one day?

Who knows. I'm not sure I really want to be famous famous, but being known for being good at what I do is nice.

Now we move on to the moment you have been waiting for, a complicated question!

When you see Amazon's self-checkout system where you can pick up items, do you feel like you can trust this automated system with your credit card information and do you see fundamentally problematic situations where people use this shopping experience to make the whole process more complicated for everyone else. Do you eventually see this store model overtaking every store?

You mean like the physical stores that you can just walk in and out of? I think it's neat. Like with any new technology, there will probably be bugs, but I think it's worth it to never have to stand in a check-out line again. I've never really been an early adopter kind of person, so I'd probably wait to take part in it until it's been pretty thoroughly tested.

You have a choice to make, between two buttons, but before you can press either button, you must explain why you are pushing that button.

Button A: All world computer networks, utilities, all records and electrical grids will be instantly destroyed, all societies will be forced to start over again from hunter gatherer and/or agricultural farming communities, but the people will have control over their own destiny, but they will have to start from 100 years ago, all over again.

Button B: A select group of bureaucrats, billionaires, and back room business dealers will be elected by the people to run the entire world, the world will function as it does now, but the salary of every employee will continue to decrease, regional governments that had originally protected privacy rights will be completely extinct, and every person will be forced to live in centralized cities to reduce the footprint upon the environment.

Choose carefully.

A complete shutdown of networks, utilities, and electric would probably cause complete chaos in modern day society. However, I happen to believe that humans overstep our role in nature, and humanity could stand to be knocked down a few pegs. Besides, we're an annoyingly resilient species. We'll be fine.
