I could probably count the total number of cat/dragon furries I've seen on one hand. I've spoken with two, but I can't really say I'm friends with them since we only talked briefly. Kind of a rare breed, I suppose. Or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

I dunno, depends on what you consider a higher predator I guess. Cagons typically only go after small prey, but as far as the food chain goes, they'd be at the top.
