The ship had started to list slightly, the Triffids unwilling to let prey get away so easily... the vines fell away with a screech and the ship lurched before gaining altitude, the tick tocking of the Triffids following them eerily, for miles around trees and vines spread across the planet like a virulent disease....

On the map, contour lines showed a ridge facing the group. It rose near to the main tower. Asia jogged through the snow and dove against it. He grabbed its surface and clambered up to peer over its plateau. Two hundred metres from the edge, a collection of soldiers stood by, guarding the doors that stood further along the building. One vehicle was with them, a transport whose armour shimmered in the snow like stained ice.  Asia turned to the others.
"We've got to take them now before they move into the building. Once done, Korius you better get your ship down here. The wind is towards us, so we can get close, a hundred metres or so, maybe less if we're lucky." The rabbit crawled onto the snowy top and crouched low, looking around for anything else his visor could pick up. There was nothing. "Korius, once we take them out, get your ship down here fast. It won't take long for their commanders to notice one of the groups missing. We can leave Tabby here and pick her up on the way back with the ship."
Asia stood up, hunched over, and trudged towards the enemy.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

Korius nodded and took a flanking route, drawing his sword and not his gun. As they got closer, Korius crept quickly through a back window and rushed in, going quickly down the stairs. 2 more floors. He had landed on the 5th floor, but the only parts of the building still showing above ground was the 60th and above. The key vibrated within his pocket and he pulled it out. Korius found an elevator shaft and sheathed his sword after using it to force the doors open. He grabbed onto the service ladder on the side and slid down, periodically gripping harder to make sure he didn't go too fast to stop.

Howl followed close behind Asia, ready for a huge battle. In a low voice, Howl said to Asia, "Howl many of them do you think we'll have to fight off? There seems to be quite the hefty amount of 'em."

"There's about eight... ten of them," said Asia as he scanned around the area through his visor. They moved up, a hundred metres from the target. Pushing their luck, Asia continued on to eighty metres. Even the snow could barely hide them. Four soldiers, two dogs a cat and a mouse, stood by the vehicle in plain sight, making idle chatter. The Asia looked down the sight of his gun, making sure to shoot with the changing height of each soldier.

Four shots. Quick succession. Two headshots, one chest, and one leg. The others turned to face, and opened fire.

Korius heard the shots ringing through the shafts. Oh, bugger. Hold on, Asia, only 20 more stories to go.

Kate shoved past the assembled marines and security staff, armour hissing and clanking she pulled off her helmet, hair thrown out of her eyes she climbed up the catwalk to the main cockpit... "Captain!? You needa congratulain' .."

While Asia was setting up his shot on the four front soldiers, he took aim on the back ones, because Howl new Asia could take them with his eyes blindfolded. Howl fired on the first set of guards, they both fell to the ground, making a large thud on the impact. Another pair of enemies charged at them, and he hit them in the center mass, killing the soldiers instantly. "Find cover while you can, Asia." The closest thing to them was the side of a building and one or two chest high walls for defense, Howl chose the building, it provided more defense for his flanks. "Your good to go, mate. The other soldiers are still trying to get ready."

Korius skid to a halt before he hit a pile of rubble. Floor 6, and everything else is buried beneath him. Bugger, must have collapsed when we landed. He pried the door open and ran about, looking for stairs. He found the stairs and kicked the door open. However, the door only opened half way before it slammed back shut. He heard a large thud and yelling. Double bugger.

The enemy soldiers ducked behind nearby rocks as well as the personnel transport. They fired their weapons immediately, shooting streaks of light through the falling snow. Asia sped for a nearby rock, that barely stood above his knees. He lay upon his front, and balanced his weapon upon the ground, loosing a few shots. He yelled down the comms to Howl as the shots zipped past his measely rock.
"Howl, there's only a few left, see if you can flank them, I'll draw fire." He fired off some more rounds. "Korius, we're almost finished here, you better be getting into your ship soon. We can't wait out here."

Korius hopped up over the door quickly and stretched as far as he can and tensioned over the door. 3 men came running out and ran for the door that Korius came from. Where's the one I hit? Just then, one more came staggering in with one hand on his nose and the other, on alert with a pistol. Korius dropped and grabbed the man's gun with the same hand as he and snapped the soldier's neck while removing the gun and firing at the others. None of the shots even came close. That's bullocks. That's why I absolutely HATE energy weapons! Korius quickly dropped the gun and the soldier and ran straight down the stairs. He pressed his key to ignite the engines and the door blew off the 5th floor. Triple bugger. The bloody door's behind the thrusters.

"Alright, I'll try to get around this building then." He looked over the side of the building; no one. So Howl sprinted down the side of it and peaked again; they were all there, in his line of sight. Staring down his rifles scope, he fired off a couple bursts and the men went down. "I think that's it, Asia!"

Korius switched off the engines and quickly ran through the hall and jumped into the open hatch. He quickly ran through the ship into the bridge and his hands flew through the controls. He missed his baby. He checked the sensors and his face turned white... which would be visible if his fur wasn't there. His sensors were going mad. The two orbital ships are now over their location. Buggeration!!!!! He checked the proximity sensors and saw that the other three had finally caught up at the door. Korius fired the thrusters and incinerated the pursuers and fired the top-side guns and lifted directly up.

Asia lifted his head and looked around, there was apparently no-one there. He got to his feet, then jogged over by the vehicle, looking all about. Inside the vehicle were various supplies, nothing urgently needed by them. Poking his head round the edge of the transport, he spoke to Howl.
"Well, looks like we just wait for Mr. Fancy Assassin man. If he doesn't show up then we're a bit buggered." He looked over to the main building, and with his visor, detected a massive heat source, growing inside.

[Shinzuu Katame: Her Tolfy]

The Stealth Streamer burted out from under the vehicle and hovered over them. Korius keyed the loud speaker. "Hurry and get Tabby! We have 3 minutes before the two ships in orbit start shooting at us! Now MOVE!"
