I saw an adult one a few days ago driving with my daughter.  So I slowed down and let it cross the road, but instead of driving on, I stopped and got out for a look.  I gave it a pat and my daughter was like "WAAAAHH!!  Are you crazy!?!?!"


It's like she doesn't even know me  :D

Used to read tons of nature books and stuff as a kid.
Plants and animals have always interested me.


Those folders with various animal species fact sheets that my grandparents have were particularly interesting.
They were kinda like old-school Wikipedia pages on actual paper.


My favorite one was about the Portugese man o' war.
I was a weird kid like that.

I miss the library of my old home town.
It had this really homely faint smell of mold.
And comfy chairs.
And a nice old librarian lady.


It's closed for good now tho, so even tho I'm currently here for a visit I can't go there.
