That's true.  The books themselves are so annoying and long, still the worst part is giving off opinions, and what we 'supposedly' learned, which in my case was nothing *giggles* could be why my reports back then where so horrible and very low grades.
I'll admit that the only book I did enjoyed was 'Where the red Fern Grows'  but the movie I liked more.

Still only R.L. stines series of 'Goosebumps' I still enjoyed reading until I couldn't see the books anymore.  No surprise, when the TV series I loved a lot more. At least when it premiered on TV, some did scare me as I was little back then.

It's made for children so easy reading and not so scary either.

I've heard of them but here in Switzerland they weren't widely available. I do have a soft spot for horror though.

We used to have a lot of franco-belgian (and some Swiss) comics like Asterix, Titeuf, Gaston Lagaffe, Lucky Luke, Tintin, the Smurfs, etc. Asterix was pretty cool!

Around that time period  he's from a small Gaulish village that keeps one upping the invading romans. His big tubby friend Obelix is my favourite character.

Aside from Boosebumps, the only other 'books' I enjoyed where called 'Choose Your Own Adventure" they where made for kids so easy reading again, either horror, or fantasy.  But the main thing was that after every page you would have two or three different options on where to go,  they would be listed on the bottom of the page something similar to
'option one safe go to page 43' or 'choose danger by going to page 103'  every page was similar.  Or sometimes  you would end up reading the book so shortly when  something happened terribly wrong with your character.
Those where fun.  Designed for children, and early to mid 90s, some books included stickers, trading cards, or even pogs inside of them.

Mentioned something similar to Wuff Wuff, happened to me, when I opened up Count to Million topic, got distracted since my mother was asking me a question, when I returned, I thought I had replied already, and went to another topic.  *Laughing*

Had Christmas Eve dinner tonight  lots of fancy salads (like potatoes or rice with a few vegetables and a lot of mayonnaise) and things!

I know it’s a thing for polish/Latvian people as well - idk if they do it in other parts of Europe

Oh Ves! We have similar Salads here  but Im guessing theyre not native here. Do you celebrate christmas eve more or christmas day? Here in Switzerland they celebrate Christmas Eve, but since I'm british my family celebrates Christmas day 

Had "Asian" food yesterday (always find it funny how food from such a huge continent is never really clarified from where it's exactly from. Mostly it's some western invention anyhow)

My family’s Lithuanian, so we celebrate a ot on Christmas Eve, but we live in England so we do a bit of both

In the USA Christmas day is on the 25th, usually Christmas dinner is the night before, and the presents opened on the 25th.

My family is Mexican, we usually celebrate it on midnight on the 25th with dinner and presents that is.
Then we celebrate 'Dia de los Santos Reyes' or Day of the Kings' on January 6th. Mostly children do. 

Today for me is just day of relaxing. Just about everything is closed.

Oo I think there’s similarly a kings day on January 6th in Lithuania too - never celebrated it myself but whenever I visit I always see the chalk initials written on apartment doors 

On winter break now - I should probably be revising for my exams but I’m taking the time to chill and do some hobbies  Done some embroidery the last couple days! I have uh lost my needle somewhere though so that’s forcing me to take a break
