Ooh - that is a good question! So, the most important thing about Zelda games is that the series takes place over many centuries, and that there are mulitple different iterations of 'Link' - this means that you can 'onboard' at various different points in the series, as very few games are direct sequels of the others
As for where to start.. I suppose that depends on what you're looking for in a Zelda game
the most common starter games are 'Twilight Princess', which is more of a grimdark open-world game - 'Ocarina of Time', which is sort of your ultimate classic 3D Zelda game - 'Breath of the Wild' which is one of the newest and has a culmination of various elements throughout the history of games . . . But then there's also 'WindWaker', which is cutesy in style and is an absolute delight. . . Ooh, so many places to start out! And that's just the 3D games! I suppose pick one of those and see how you like it? I absolutely adore Ocarina of Time, personally.
