While we're on this topic:
One of my late relatives is part Japanese and was vegan. Shinto and Okinawa tradition is primarily vegan or pescetarian as a hence their traditional dishes are inherently mostly vegetable based (fun fact), their culture has the highest amount of people living to be over 100 like my grand uncle and hold little depression. I just want to live longer and be less depressed. There's meat substitutes which taste better than meat, too though like anything primary they take time to take a liking too just like someone who eats a sole dish all the time will have issues changing to eat another single dish all the time. Now I'm less depressed (I got to the point I denied I was depressed at one time x3) besides, hopefully I'll live long too
