According to hackers who leaked information they've been mining on the moon for years. I don't if the hackers were telling the truth but I don't see why they'd lie it's quite plausible. The moon is closer so it makes sense... But, Wells' Time Machine movie where the moon breaks up >.< that's kind of scary the moon isn't that dense it's like a beach ball compared to Earth.
I don't see why'd they mine on an asteroid when all that is found on earth and is too heavy to move back to earth. We have enough problems on Earth without wasting billions on space I don't see the logic. Oil etc is biological so I'm doubtful of oil in space unless it's from an exploded planet but still... what exploded planet?
Turning Mars into a planet you can live on makes more sense to me. But even then that seems inefficient. Or even, mine on Mars so you can work from a base? Sounds too much like they're replicating a space game than the reality.
Too bad those people have their head in the clouds, the world would be better if people in high places dealt with things better, especially politicians.
