I'm not convinced.  I think certain sites speed up the spread of stupid, but human history is full of much foolishness managed without the net.

The corporation that owns Fox, owns plenty of other news stations as well. None of the news sources can be trusted, even suggesting CNN is "better" is humorous. Everytime some sort of weather instance happens, the news in California will specifically show the worst part possible to demonize another place. "Oh man, look at those snow storms, too dangerous for us, get excited viewers, we need those ratings!"

So here comes the example. Basically it comes down to "Where did you develop that acronym?" "Were you born with automatically knowing that exact combination of words? 'Social Justice Warrior'. Did you come to that conclusion without outside help? How do you know your definition is the same as the next person's?" it's because you have some sort of reference to a place where a view is commonly believed to be the same, which is most likely: Tumblr and/or Reddit.
