Just go with what they're saying Sain.  Your character may be right in his mind but when other characters don't agree and want an actual leader then you're S.O.L.  Continuing on like this is a good way to get yourself killed.

rank is way to high, either your a private or corporal (privates are regular soldiers, corporals are like junior officers)

Corporals and Specialists are both E-4's, but Corporals get the short end of the stick, having to deal with more paperwork and administration.  Also, if you guys want the more advanced Sergeant ranks, other than just Sergeants, either look it up yourself, or ask me  .  I am in JROTC (Junior REserve Officer Training Corps. [high school level]) so feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to help.
