Doomsday: Hell on Earth

The mob of Spectres was dispersing under the combined fire from Edward, Spike & Shiro, but then two Spectres dived at Shiro & took him down. Putting on another burst of speed, Edward dropped his P-90 seeing it was to risky to shoot at the Spectres so close to Shiro, & drew his knife. Lunging fowards he slammed the blade down at one of the Spectres and was rewarded by a spurt of more-or-less blood from the strange creature.

((Okay...that might have worked to actually harm it if it was an Imp or Zombie.  Unfortunately it isn't and YOU just ticked it off.  I hope you have a medkit handy because this is gonna hurt.))

The stabbed Spectre swung about as the knife entered its back.  Seeing the offender, it roared in utter hate and charged.  It slashed at Edward's chest, ripping through armor and flesh, before sending Edward carrening away into a wall.  Charging again it rammed into Edward bashing him into the wall, creating an Edward shaped crater in the wall.

*Crouching on the ground having waited several minutes watching his opponents and acting his opportunist role as it seemed they forgot about him, White watched Edward get pummeled into the wall and pulled up the dual UZIs* "Time to die you son of a female dog." *White shot his guns into the side of the Spectre until his magazines were empty* "Click-click-click-click." *The wolf watched intently to see what would happen next, talking some steps back just in case his plan failed* "60 .45 rounds should have been sufficient... I can only hope."

[Alice The Necrofox]

"You... get... offa me!"
He put the barrel of his SMG into the creature'.... abdomen? and let loose all of the guns fury. He kicked off the gutted beast, and retreated to the light, just fireing through the doorway.

[Resa F]

Sliding down the wall Edward slumped with his head between his knees. As the Spectre raised to strike he fumbled for his P-90, raised it and pulled the trigger, only to fire just 3 shots before the magazine clicked empty. He sighed "Aww tuck this nish man..." Suddenly the Spectre has hit by a full broadside of SMG fire. Pulling his revolver out of his holster in the brief reprieve he added his own 6 shots to the storm. Dropping it back into his lap he wiped the blood from his mouth and waited to see if certain death had been replaced with uncertain death at a later date.

Spike watched as Shiro rushed out of the doorway and into the sunlight. Spike was careful not to blow his head off while he was still pointing his weapon. He was glad somebody finally made it out. He laughed. "What took you so long? I was beginning to worry." Spike said with a smile. He was still propped up against the rock and still wondering why the squad just hadn't come out yet.

[Entaru]

The Spectre that had been mauling Edward dropped, as 66 rounds of ammunition shredded its internal organs.  The remaining Spectres growled heatedly before darting back into the darkness.

*victory music plays*

*White does a victory jump* "YES! Camping style of play for the win! I actually did something good for once... so I guess we should probably get going while the getting's good. Probably more of the damned around here, I don't want to be among them." *White moves out into the light rather quickly after his statements*

Kiala halted when she noticed that the Spectres had dispersed, taking with them their frightful noise. It was still dark, very dark, and she couldn't shed any light on the situation- she had lost her flashlight in the prior struggle. "Guys?" Kiala called. "Is someone there?" Mac rubbed against her calf, panting heavily from exahstion.

[Resa F]

Edward muttered to himself "Teach me to go off being bloody minded..." Hearing Kiala call out he replied "Yo, over here. Can I have a hand up?" Looking towards the doorway he yelled "Hey stay there, don't go off without us!!"

[Alice The Necrofox]

Shiro ran over to Edward.
"Okay, you are gonna be okay."
He picked him up fireman style and moved him over to where Spike was sitting propped up against a wall.
"You both are stable. Sit here for a sec. Don't get up yet, and that is an order. We can't move on with you guys banged up like this."

((Shiro is Lance Corperal and they are privates, so I think this works.))

Spike reloaded shells into the shotgun. He looked at Edward sitting next to him. He looked just as bad as Spike did in the legs. The fox leaned his weapon against the wall next to him. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his pack of smokes. He pulled one out by his lips and lit up. He exhaled smoke through his nostrils and looked at Edward again. "Good work, Private." Spike said, smiling.

Kiala darted over to the others to help, and, once she saw their state, she felt her body grow cold with fear and regret...she had- partially at least -allowed this to happen. Again the weight of being 'lead' fell upon her. She smiled weakly at the injured soldiers lying up against the wall. "Well, is there anything I can do?"

Shiro kept a straight face.
"They will be fine, there is not much you can do. Maybe make sure the seargent is in good condition."
He looked over his two patients, wiping the mixed blood on the ground.
"You two feel okay?"

[Resa F]

"I'd be better for a cup of tea. Apart from that, fine." Looking around at Spike he shrugged "Thanks. Hate to think what would've happened if we hadn't come across that stash before running into those things. I hope they're just here..."
