They're gelatinous blobs, no gun will really effect them. Try thinking in terms of how to kill jello (poking it with a fork to death doesn't count)

Shinzuu, your M500 would work but would only stun the creature for less than a minute.  It's kinda hard to attack when pieces of you just went everywhere...they'll need time to reform themselves.

And Gabag, MOST Acolytes are normal Ze-ites/Elders.  There are other, higher ranking versions, that have resistance and even immunity to fire.  Some are more creature than normal.  Though what you have fought so far will light up just as easily as the rest of us.

Ice cubes to them would be like a hot coals to us.  They won't die, but they won't be happy.  Suffice to say that you might want to invest in better shoes should you want to try it.

And they aren't quite like jello...more like molasses.

Molasses can be diluted with a variety of vegetable oils, it will quickly remove the "sticky" trait of its content thus rendering its outer influences on things damaged to a certain degree. Which is good because vegetable oil is relatively easy to find anywhere from gas station mini-marts to supermarkets and grocery stores.

I said they were like molasses...not made of it.  Oil of any kind would just make them stronger.

No matter how much I wish it would, I don't think vegatable oil is gonna work.
