I've got an idea... but I may have to play with it a little bit after I know exactly for sure of the setting. Is this a "small" oasis-like area in the desert or a larger forest-like oasis that we've run into?

We're in the heart of the main forest that runs along the river. We're at the half-way point through the TG's territory. Well, a little more than half-way since we just ran out of their little forest village (for what it generally looks like, refer to the movie, "Robinhood: Prince of Thieves"). Beyond their territory, there's several ways to make the last 3-week voyage. Those who pay the guild enough, get the safe passage (which we will not be so lucky to take), and the rest are through desert, palms or both. of course, plenty of fights along the way.

Just makes me miss Alistair more, hah. I wouldn't mind having him back, but I'm enjoying Dante. He actually speaks, lol.

1) she's another cursed user, but hasn't been introduced, though I don't remember actually introing the other, save just a short sortie.

2) no. you do not have the materials required for it, nor will you be able to get any.

Alright, the cloth my character used was to lessen any movement the knife still stuck in Dante to prevent reopening the wound. So the dagger's still in him.
