But something to think about... since there was mention of one Normal managing to get the Mana and being in control of himself enough to give the Normals a defense against Majicka (armor smithing techniques that resisted Majicka), how did he manage to get it and become sane enough to use that power in that way?

well, i was gonna wait until later in the fight, but i guess it'd be easier to just tell you here. the Mana is actually evil and dark, but what makes it so is because it changes the one who obtains it to be maniacal in their greatest obsession, and sees their immediate party and anyone who doesn't agree as an opposition to that obsession. the last Normal that obtained it had an obsession to protect his children from a possible takeover from magic users, which is what drove him to produce magic-smithing. every bit of armour that's magic-resistant was constructed by him only, and that's all he did until the day he died, which was only 30 years after he obtained the Mana. That's why I made sure throughout the RP to state how worn magic resistant armours were.

And here I thought that the Normal had went around to teach blacksmiths how to make Magicka resistant armor.

indeed, but electricity, when enough is applied, is able to break down metal at a molecular level, giving the illusion of being melted or disintegrated. i used at that scene as kind of a measurement of how much power is being run through. But the end of it, might have your characters doing something that vee might not like. and no, i don't mean killing me.
