How long have you been a furry?

Seems like every one here is not only young, but just becoming a furry. I want to know how long you've been one? For me it's been about 12 years now, and I've had my character for 10 of them.

I've known the name for it and been a part of the community for almost three years. I think I've really been one all my life though.

I've been a fur (officialy) for all of 1 year (And some change. )

But in practice, all my life really.

It's been a little over a year now since i discovered i was a furry.  whats weird though is that i found out about it on the website something awful lol

for me it's been 2 or 3 years now, and i found out about it from an internet friend.

mmm whats the date..... oh yah about 3 months.... *slaps self for not finding it earlier* since i became furry ive become so much more devoted to the fandom, to the point where its almost the only thing on my mind 24/7....... I can't wait to go to my first con! I plan to go to rainfurrest 2010 with another member of this site... she's pretty inactive though, you wouldnt have seen alot of her... were like best friends now, btw who else is going to rainfurrest?

its been a bout 3 years for me and all my friends know that I'm a furry some of my friends don't want any thing to do with me now after  I told them  but some of my friends are OK with it and got in to the fandom with me  or have been inn it but its times like that when you fined out who your true friends are  like my room mate  he is a true friend

Well, I've been a scalie since I was thirteen or fourteen-ish. So around five years. I didn't know what it was for sure until my junior year in highschool since my boyfriend called me out on it, and I didn't know what he meant until I looked it up. I had to discover the fandom, but I was one of those weird kids who pretended to be an animal every day, so I feel I had something like it in my life always. But kids are kids, and I guess it doesn't count if you didn't know.

Probably since I was about 4 or 5, I just loved those Sonic games so much, I just found the thought of anthropomorphic characters to be really fascinating

A few years sadly I was still living with my abusive parents (( I'm 25 if your wondering and  yes it was THAT screwed up!))   so i never really got to "express it"  but now after being rescued from my mate  I fully enjoy wearing my ears and such.  (( and he thinks its  adoreable!))     so in all  about 3 years now
