Reno continued walking home in silence, hands in his pockets. He accidentally stepped off the curb almost falling on his face. Luckily he caught himself and no one was around to see it. Heart racing he took a deep breath and exhaled. "That was close." he said, looking at the ground to make sure he was walking straight this time. He soon made it to the hotel and went inside. He waved to Dorris and Alexia who were chatting as usual at the front desk. He went inside his room and fell face first onto his bed. "Ugh..."

Shinzuu nodded, "Alright." On the way back, they stopped at the convenience store for Shinzuu to pick up a few snacks. However, when Shinzuu went inside, he took an extra minute to look around the other things, particularly at supplies. There, he found fist tape and wrist/ankle weights, which he purchased as well. After getting outside, he walked Veronica back to the apartment and opened the door for her like last time. This time, however, Shiori wasn't home, since it was one of the times she worked late.

Veronica walked along with Shinzuu and when they stopped at the convenience store she stood inside the store next to the door while he bought some things. When they finally got back to the apartment and she had gone inside & taken off her shoes, she remembered the weights that she had seen him grab. "You know, you could have just borrowed mine. We use ankle weights in cheering to help us have the ability to do our jumps higher." She said as she walked off toward the guest room, dragging her bag behind her since her shoulder was killing her from the weight.

When she arrived at her home, she tried her best to stay silent and sneak in. However, her dad's door was open. She cursed under her breath and quickly darted into her room, slamming the door behind her. "Marlowe, welcome back!" her dad yelled, "How was school?" He knew she didn't want to talk about it, but felt as if he should bug her about it. "I know you're there!" He continued playfully. Inside her room, Marlowe was taking off her dress and throwing it to the furthest corner of her room and changing into a pair of pants.

After a moment of laying there Reno rolled over and sat up. He ran his paw down his face and sighed getting up. He took off his tie, threw it on his bed and walked towards the bathroom. As he walked he unbuttoned his shirt. Once he stepped inside the bathroom he saw the croagunk sitting at the edge of the tub. He also noticed his pocket knife on the ground below it unfolded. "That's not creepy at all..." He slowly walked to his knife and picked it up. As he stood back up he heard a knock at his door which startled him. He almost dropped the knife in the scare. He turned around and looked out the bathroom door to look at the front door. Again the knock came. "This is like that one movie..." he thought as he walked over to the door. Reno slowly moved his eye towards the peep hole to look out but was hesitant. "It was just a movie...Not like it was real...Nothing to be afraid of..." He looked out the hole and to his surprise he saw a mask of one of the people from The Strangers and promptly freaked out. Eyes widened, heart racing, back against the door he clutched his pocket knife close to his chest. "Oh crap! What the hell?! I'm gonna die and they're gonna make some sick movie based off of my gruesome death!......Okay...Calm down. No one is going to take me. I got this. I have a knife. And-...Screw it..." Reno suddenly turned around in a bit of bravery, opened the door and looked out. "Oi what-!" to his relief, it was just a mask suspended from his door frame by a string. "Aheh...See? Nothing...Just some sick prank. Nothing to be afraid of..." he took a step back inside, locked his door and turned around. Again to his surprise, he saw Schadenfreude standing there with a menacing look. Normally he wouldn't have, but due to the situation, he passed out from the surprised.

Shinzuu shook his head at Veronica's mention of the weights, "No, it's fine. Besides, what if I wanted to use them when you were out in practice? Not exactly accessible right? Besides, mine can be adjusted to different weights on 3 kilo increments. Yours looks like set weights." He let out a warm smile to at least show that he appreciated the gesture before she went off to her room. Shinzuu knew he wasn't going to be using weights any time soon yet, but at least he won't forget later. After putting everything away in his room, he took out the food from the bag and plopped onto the couch, food in mouth and bag in hand.

After she entered the room, she closed the door and tossed the the bag aside, which didn't go very far because of the weight. She then changed into her pajamas before tugging her radio/CD player out of one of her boxes of things. Setting it on the night stand, she plugged it in then rummaged through the box and pulled out her Adam Lambert CD. She popped the CD into the CD played and skipped through the songs until she found the one she wanted. The opening music of "Aftermath" started to play and she cranked the volume up loud then flopped down on the bed on her back, staring blankly at the ceiling as she listened to the song.

Marlowe sat down on her bed, grabbing her xbox 360 controller. She layed back, holding down the middle button that would activate both the controller and the console. Bioshock was in, and she felt too lazy to change games, so she continued to play from the point she had last saved. In the other room, her father continued to aggravate her in hopes that she would get tired of listening to him and come out of her room.

Reno had stayed passed out from his little surprise. He was tired and planning on going to bed anyway after his shower. The apparition of Schadenfreude had long since gone, leaving him to drool on his shoulder as his head was leaning in that direction. He usually drooled on himself, he was a heavy sleeping. In a way it was a sign he was actually sleeping or at least enjoying his sleep. He didn't dream that night, but he didn't really often anyway.

Shinzuu finally sighed and gave up on playing games, but kept the TV on so that he would be able to listen to his movies while he pulled out his homework and tried to do it. His brain seemed to calm as his movies played in the background. However, it being homework, Shinzuu ended up falling asleep on the couch on top of his paperwork and books.

Veronica listened to the whole song and let the CD continue on after that. As she listened to all the songs, she continued to stare at the ceiling and thought back on times with her parents. She had no concern for her homework and after a while she fell asleep to the music and her memories. While she slept her dream remained a constant one with her sitting alone in darkness with no one else around and complete silence.

Reno woke up to his alarm clock going off, which startled him. Luckily he didn't have his knife on him or he probably would have stabbed himself. He wiped the drool from his face as he looked around, wondering why he was on the floor. When he saw the mask laying next to him he remembered and stood up tossing the mask in the trash. After that he grabbed his knife from the floor and folded it up and stuffed it in his pocket as he went to turn off his alarm. Reno then stretched and fell onto his bed. "...I didn't set my alarm last night..." he realized and sat up. He saw the croagunk sitting beside his clock which he didn't notice when he turned it off. "...If you move from that spot when I get back from school...I'm going to duct tape your ass to the wall." he said pointing at the doll as if he were scolding a child. He continued to look at it as if he were expecting it to reply. "You don't care." he said throwing his hands into the air and falling back on his bed. "Ugh...I still don't want to go to school..."

Shinzuu woke up the next morning to his Playstation 3 starting to flood with messages. He grunted as he sat up and opened up the main menu from the Netflix page and checked the time. It was still 5am, and his mother was just putting on her shoes in the front entrance. "Later, ma." The wolf fell on her rear in surprise when she heard her son's voice while she thought he would still be asleep. "Okay, dear. You two don't make something tonight, though. I'm going to be cooking tonight. Remember to ask Veronica what she likes to eat ahead of time, and let me know." Shinzuu gave a kind of wave, though she wouldn't see it, "Yea, sure." He opened up his inbox and found hundreds of messages. Most of them were game invites, but some were just questions on latest games and questions on if he did zombie maps or not. Shinzuu yawned and stretched, deciding to walk back into his room to get dressed.

When Veronica woke up, she found herself lying on her side with her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. If she had been actually sitting up on the bed, she would have been in the exact same position that she had been in during the dream. Slowly, she released her legs, rolling on her back and gently extending her arms and legs out. She groaned from the stiffness as she settled her arms out at her sides. After a moment of staring at the ceiling, she moved off of the bed and stopped the CD in the player before turning it off. She didn't give any thought to how she looked as she opened the door and exited the room, though her hair was all messy since it had come out of hair-tie it had been in. She took a couple steps toward the living room while rubbing her right eye with her right hand then paused and stood there as if she was trying to remember what she was doing.

Marlowe had lost track of time as she played into the night. She eventually fell asleep playing her xbox. It wasn't a first for her, so when she woke, she wiped her eyes, careful not to fling the controller out of her hand. She glanced over at the clock. It was 5:03am. She closed her eyes deciding now wasn't the time to wake for her. This time, she sleepily cut off her xbox and laid on her side on top of her covers on her bed.
