Marlowe let out an exasperated sigh, followed by a few partial words stretched out as if she was trying to find the right thing to say in the situation aloud. "Uhhh, I really don't know." She rubbed the back of her neck a bit, "I.. I really don't know. I mean, I hadn't... I hadn't talked to Schad in a long while." Saying what she had to made her feel a little worse on the situation as if she was coming clean about a big lie. "Y'see, Schad and I haven't been friends for a long while..." She continued to look down. "Things got pretty dicey, and well, our friendship ended before she moved to here with her mom. I'm only here because of my dad. He has a thing for her mom..." The bull terrier felt a lingering amount of guilt as she spoke. I miss who she used to be before. Not who she was when she was here. She wanted to say it out loud, but again, she swallowed, keeping the last part to herself.
