Zane sat for a bit, singing along until the information receptionist came over to sit at the other end of the table, which silenced him almost instantly. "I take it you finished your story on time," Melinda laughed, turning the computer around to read the story, titled "A Midnight's Evanescence". "Mmhmm. And it even came out the way I had hoped. Though I don't like the fact I had to end it so abruptly..." Zane replied as he once again pulled his headphones to rest around his neck, the Ipod now playing "Right Where It Belongs" by Nine Inch Nails. "Slow day around here, I take it?" Always is. Its why I'm always able to wander on Sundays. Everyone uses the day to go out with friends, or rest. Not many people see it as a day to go to the library." She mused as she continued staring at the computer screen, leaving Zane to smile. Melinda was the mold-breaker of the nerd stereotype, choosing to accentuate her tiger stripes with extravagant colored clothing whenever she had the chance. But that wasn't often considering she was a junior at Feral High, just like Zane. The tiger was the first person he had made a quick friendship with, meeting when Zane first moved here from New Zealand as a freshmen one year ago. Their friendship had developed into a brother-sister type relationship, and Zane himself never wanted that to change.
He spun the computer around, ignoring her annoyed expression as he quickly navigated the keyboard until finally a ding issued from the speakers and "Message Sent!" once more flashed on the screen. "Check your phone." Zane smirked, watching Melinda slowly reaching into her pocket to pull out her phone, "New Message" glaring on the screen. "You can send full-length text documents to someone's phone?" She asked with a somewhat impressed tone, which was rare for the tiger to let someone hear. "Yours. And any other smart-phone. But everyone else, including me, that have 'outdated' phones are pretty much out of luck." She pressed on the touch-screen to pull up the story, once again starting to read where she left off. "Showoff."
