Wazzup? Newbie here, alive and kicking.

Hey everybody!  I'm brand new here so I thought I'd get to know some people, and let you know about me:

-First of all, I've been what you could call a "closet" furry for a couple of years now, but Colorado isn't very open-minded, so I have been avoiding my furry side until now.  I don't know any other furries yet, but I hope to make some friends.  In case you didn't guess, I'm a wolf.

-As I've mentioned, I live in Colorado, right next to the Rocky Mountains.  Part of what made me furry is that we have a wolf -hybrid running around our property, as well as a couple of foxes.  But that wolf-hybrid (we think it's part wolf and part coyote.  Is that even possible?), that thing is magnificent.  That set me off, I think.

-If you can't tell by my writing, I'm an amateur writer and journalist.  People think it's wierd that I'm 17 and published in a community magazine, but it's fun.  I tell it like it is, no more, no less (well, maybe a little bit more. )

-I like martial arts (red belt in Kenpo) but haven't  gone to my dojo in a long time.  My dad helps me practice, though, and that's cool.  He always wins at sparring (black belt two stripes in Kenpo, brown in Aikido, and green in Judo. :shcoked:
 )
-I like shooting my bow and my guns.  I have a 50 lb. draw Browning compound, an old-west style Colt revolver, and a 16 gauge shotgun.  I prefer to borrow my grandpa's .45 Magnum though.  That has some kick!

-Lastly, I'd like to say that I'd love to be more involved in the furry community, worldwide and here in Colorado.  Right now noone but me and anyone who reads this knows I'm a furry, and it's kind of hard to not feel left out sometimes.  I'm on my way, though!

Any suggestions on stuff here in the Forums?  I'd like to meet some new friends.

Hello and welcome to the Furry Forums! I really hope you find what you are seeking here, as there are many friendly furs around the premise!

Also; yes, there is such a thing as a wolf/coyote hybrid, it's more commonly referred to as a Red Wolf.

Hey, welcome, newbie here as well, but I know exactly what you mean with the whole 'left out' thing. I think I'm the only one in my region who even knows what a furry IS

I been a closet furry from *myself* for like.. 6 years o.o; But I've always been interested in them, Nekos mostly. Only just recently acknowledged that I really am, but that just makes me feel less like a part of any group, since like I said, I don't think anyone else knows what a furry even is. (Small community, you know? Easier to know what most of the people think, I'm not just generalizing)

I also tried to write a few stories (fantasy/medieval style, like 99% of my roleplays), but nothing that I felt could be published and eventually just lost the inspiration, but maybe it'll come back. I was only 15, I doubt I could have actually gone anywhere.

'Neway, just wanted to say that and that I'd love to talk with ya anytime, I think we'd have a bunch of things in common ^^

i feel like the only norwegian furry, and it seems to be just about right
still havent met more than one norwegian claiming to be a furry. and that was on imvu.
and there doesn't seem to be even one in norway that knows what furry is, they start thinking 'disney' and 'loony toons'  '
it makes me feel like an outcast of sorts. but a happy outcast, for i know the furyness, and it's me
