Why do you have to be 18?  a lifestyle choice is a lifestyle choice.  Sure you may have to wait on some bonus things like going to a big fur meet, etc...  But I consider you as much as a furry as I do everyone else here!

What's your side of the story?  I'd be glad to be something of a help.  :3

Yea you could be a furry at any age.  It's not restricted to 18 being the entry age.

Exactly! I sadly know a 10 year old roadside Christian who is a Furry and by roadside I mean those people who preach in the street.

With 955 characters for a signature, I can try make something funny or interesting but no, I'm just gonna sit here and type instead of going to work because breaking the fourth wall is more humour than trying to figure out how I'll get access to my other laptop; picking up my charger that I left at a friends house, around 40 miles away...

Good going Sparky, you did well. On the plus side, it's given you a chance to accidentally revisit some old stomping grounds and see what madness you can create during this seemingly temporarily return.

Anyone can be a furry.  I use to know a parent who was raising there child as a furry ever sense they where born.  All you have to do is set up your fursona or furry charactor and have some fun.  also, welcome to the forums.  ;)

I'm 13 also and I've been a furry for a while. The only thing you have to be 18 for is some conventions and sites.
To be a furry just make a fursona, and that's it!
You can also do some stuff like RP, wear fursuits, and come on forums like these just for more interaction with other furries.

Web sites yes, depending on what it is. Though most art sites will allow you to join with parents permission and a filter block. Conventions however, unless it's for specialized ones, you just need a parent or guardian with you. This covers the con's butts if you get hurt, do damage or have to be hospitalized.

If you like furries and you want to be a furry... You already are a furry. >.>

Furries are people who are a fan of anthropomorphic (animal/human) characters. Most furries come up with an anthropomorphic representation of themselves ("fursona"), but even that's not actually required.

I would like to ask what the other reasons are, but it would make me seem nosy. XD
But yea, being furry can be either just a hobby (Drawing, RP, writing stories) or more like a lifestyle choice.
So if you conider youself a fur, you're already one. And you don't even have to do anything like that. You just have to like anthro characters.
