Moonchild felt a feeling like a lingering spider crawl up her back, tickling as it went, and her fur bristled. She blinked. There was...something like a familiar smell in the air, but she couldn't put her finger on what it was...
She folded her hands in her lap. She drew in a deeper smell of whatever it was. It became more familiar the more she was exposed. "Mr. Colonel...."
"What?" For several minutes now, he had been shuffling with intent through the papers on his desk, and, now, as he turned back to her, she could clearly see an image scrawled across one of those pages he held. A unicorn. Only, not like the unicorns she had been drawing. This one had about him an air of ferocity, drawn in thick black ink, given an unholy expression---his mouth contorted into a scowl of hate...he stood on the edge of a dark cliff, a sea roiling below....why did he have a picture of a unicorn? Weren't these military people supposed to keep their feet on the ground, their heads far below the clouds?
Before she could get anything more out of looking at it, he hid the large bristol board under some manilla folders.
"Back." Moon said. She fidgeted...The curiosity at what she had seen could wait, though doing so was going to be difficult..."Back."
"You don't want to go back home already, do you?" The Corporal smiled while he slid some files across the glass desktop. He did not look at her. "You go back, and you'll just have to do more testing. And we both know that's no fun. Besides, we just barely started talking to each other about---"
She cut him off. "Back."
Then the smile was gone. Then he did look at her. This was short lived, however. Promptly an automated beeping caught his attention, staccato, cutting through the dim silence. Ellina was rampant, possibly above ground now, possibly... Moon had to be kept away from her at all costs. Expression grim, the Corporal darted to her and heaved her to her feet by her arm, and started yanking her towards the door. He had already signaled for guards to assist him, which would be arriving in thirty seconds, no more or their job would be on the line.
Now Moon knew what that smell had been. Being yanked away, tripping over her huge tail as she went, she felt glad knowing Ellina had gotten out....

Anna resurfaced from the cold but not frigid water with her hair plastered to her face, now a darker brown than before. She did not like it in the water. So, after being splashed by a certain cousin jumping into the water behind her, and shouting "What now, fool?" over her shoulder to him in regards to his doubts she'd ever jump, she swam to the shore...promptly coming across a draconian in a slightly ridiculous but clearly formal helmet. Raising her eyebrows at him, she said: "Well, you look new."

LOCKDOWN has been declared across the entire Violet Lake base due to the numerous underground security fallacies and disturbances. All non-PTA soldiers and new recruits have been directed via radio to return to their temporary housings immediately, and also to keep their guard about them, for a "serious security breach" has taken place and LOCKDOWN must ensue. Clearly, the situation can't be taken care of properly with those not in the loop looking on.
