Feeling Annie's arm around him, Reggie looked down to her, put his arm back where it was, and began stroking her arm; partly to comfort her, but also himself.
David grabbed Blaze's arm, and pressed his thumb along it, finding a vein. He smirked he found one, stuck the needle in, and pressed the plunger, shooting the drug into the boy's bloodstream.
"This'll help with the infection, but it's not a cure and you'll still be in a lot of pain." He patted the empty bed. "Rest here, and I'll take everyone to the best doctors available to people like us." He headed out of the room, gave a glance and a grin at Reggie and Annie, before sidling past them. "It'll take a day or two, so you newcomers best make yourself comfy; except for the boy. He'll be begging for comfort." His smile disappeared as he paused on the stairs. His tongue flicked in the air, and he headed off into the ship.
Reggie shook his head as the snake disappeared.
"Sorry about him," he said. "We don't have him around for his bedside manner." He growled under his breath, then pulled away from Annie, walking to Jaack's side and pulling back the cloth to see his friend's sunken, shivering face. Reggie gripped the bed, and his growling grew. "I hate it when this happens."
Tabby reached into her black top and pulled out some cuffs.
"Take mine; you can put them to more professional use than I normally do." She smiled and walked along with Chronin as the group set off again for Flathead Street. She looked up at him, watching blood trickle down his arm. She gave a slight frown, before softening up, with an honest smile at his resilience. She kept quiet, but walked closer by him.
