Reggie looked down at his chest, and then back to her eyes. He almost whispered a grateful smile, and reached forward, holding his palm to her cheek. He felt her hair against his fingertips.
"You're really wonderful, you know that?" Just as he spoke, the mood in the air snapped. Down the corridor, David started a slow applause. Reggie turned to face him, and put an arm around Annie.
"Well, even when I heard the gunshot, I didn't expect this much action this quick." David smirked and casually leaned against the wall. "Reggie, can I talk to your for a second? In private."
"Not now David." Reggie held Annie close to him, and the snake glared.
"Yes, Reg. Now." He said with unequivocal authority. "And you, princess," he shifted his violent stare to Annie. "Maybe you should go see your son, eh? My guess is the bacteria has set to work by now, and he isn't feeling to well anymore."

Tabby sighed, and looked over to the other three of the group.
"They joined for the benefits. Plus, it's not like they were prepared for this." She looked back up at Chronin. . "I mean this is the capital sphere, when's the last time there's been a gunfight round here." She started to smile again, and looked at his glove. Her eyes shined with awe. "I tell you what though, that was impressive. Can I see that thing you got?"

Chronin raised an eyebrow and showed her the glove, but didn't let her touch it. "Its something my father designed but couldn't finish refining it before the Everflame was stolen 25 years ago, he died during the riots, leaving me to finish his work. Two others I made have built-in limiters and only 'Auntie' is allowed to issue them since its like carrying a dynamite factory in your hand. Trust me, this tech is far from user friendly and it would have destroyed my arm if I didn't reverse engineer before trying to finish my father's refinements." He only cautioned her since her face showed just how much she wanted to try it out. "Its stricly for small-scale demolition like you saw when I clogged up the alleys, it can even work in space as long as it was formed in an oxygen rich atmosphere first."

Tabby chewed the warnings around in her head.
"Aw come on. You can't just flash that sexy thing around without letting me have a go." She looked up at him, pouted, then growled a sigh. "Fine, but I expect compensation for it in the future." She grabbed his butt and squeezed, just as they turned the corner towards the police barracks. The regional officer stood outside with arms folded and a vicious glare.

Chronin didn't even bat an eye as he made his way up to the officer and saluted and waited for his regional officer to speak. He knew he was going to get chewed out for how he ended up killing, damaging property, and doing exactly what was expected of him when encountering a fire-fight. He may be a crime magnet, but he made sure his own buisness was kept away from endangering others. However, this was his first encounter of dealing with an ambush of at least two-hundred gangsters.

With a smile, Annie brought a hand up to hold Reggie´s to her cheek. She breathed slowly, not daring to make a sound, as if to do so would burst the small bubble they now occupied together. Her tail flicked excitedly behind her, before stopping still as David turned the corner. Annie returned the glare, meeting the snake´s eyes. But even so, the moment was lost and she pushed away from Reggie, already walking back towards the medbay...

Annie entered the small room, just in time to see Blaze flip down the small screen on his wrist. Even so, she knew who the caller had been... With a concerned frown, she looked down at Blaze. He was biting his lip, a single drop of blood welling up where the incisor met soft flesh. She sat down carefully, putting an arm around him "How you doing champ?" Blaze shrugged, not opening his mouth. Annie nodded, suddenly smirking "Was that Tess just called?" another nod "And you still havnt asked her out yet?"

This time Blaze gave more than a nod. Apparently with all pain forgotten, he sat up straight"Mum! Its not like that... we´re just... friends..." Annie rolled her eyes, glad that she had finally gotten him to speak. She raised her eyebrows, still smirking "Just friends? Boy how many times have i heard that before... By the time me and your father where your age, we´d already gone the full way... if you know what i mean..."
She grinned even more, as Blaze pulled a face of disgust and laughter."Eugh! Seriously, waaay too much information..."

"Elite, I and those higher in command watched what happened, and we know what damage your presence have caused." His stern face curled into a smirk. "Because of your little adventure, and the actions of all those gang members circling around you, the Head of Security on the Capital Sphere has decided to transfer you to a special ops division. You're to support Project Dragonfly. They didn't say any more than that, and frankly I don't care. Pack your stuff and get out of my fur."

Tabby looked between the two men. Intrigue was etched into her expression.

David grabbed the big fox's arm, and dragged him into a secluded alcove, covered in shadows and bad acoustics.
"What the hell are you doing?" David whispers were harsh with his hiss. "In case you've forgotten, you're already taken." Reggie sighed and rolled his eyes, making David's frown deepen.
"Look, I was just--"
"You were just betraying a woman who loves you for someone you've only just met!" Reggie flinched as David raised his voice. Both of them looked up and down the corridor, then whispered even quieter than before.
"It's not that simple."
"It's perfectly simple. You promised her! Don't you care? You stupid flippin' vulpine." David stopped himself from saying anymore, and collected his thoughts. "I can't believe you're doing this."
"David, look--"
"No, shut up," said David with a point of his finger. Reggie looked away, and gritted his teeth. "What you're doing here, now, could ruin a relationship that's been going on for how long? Two years?" He stepped back out into lit corridor, and looked back towards the crew living area. He sighed and scratched his head, taking some skin off with it, making him grumble. "The best thing you can do now is avoid that vixen. Have a cold shower and then just... read a book or something."

Chronin was a bit dumbstruck; Special ops was the last place he expected to arrive at with how he acted. But, he barely showed his awe as he saluted and went away from the officer before he looked at Tabby. "Um, Tabby..." he was really nervous about this since he didn't really know how much of an attachment she had to the Squad, but he also didn't want to just walk away from this like it was of no importance...

"Um, what?" Tabby replied. "You heard him well enough, now come on. Get your stuff." She grinned wide. "Mine's already packed, so we can just pick it up and go." She clicked her fingers and pointed to the thoughts spouting out of her head. "When does the transport leave? Maybe that head of security person sent you instructions or something." She giggled and looked up at him with expectation.

Chronin was once again thrown off at apparently how easily she just decided to go with him to who-knows-where. "Um, 'Auntie' never tells me anything unless I ask, she tends to either enjoy her time off, or is too busy to remember that I'm not a popular person with intelligence division." He said with a nervous laugh before they both made their way to the Sqaud D's room, and managed to go in and out with only Thread knowing what was going on, and reluctantly yet almost snickering as he was understanding why Tabby wanted to leave with Chronin.

Chronin also made his pack-up quick as some Elites just stared at the girl that was following Chronin so closely. Some were showing looks of jealousy, while others were just confused as to why and how Chronin got a companion that could put up with him. However, nobody said anything as Chronin got his gear and headed out the door, not really realizing that his arm was over Tabby's shoulders.

He took out his ear-piece and 'switched' it so that the usually inoperative parts had activated, then put on the ear-piece as it contacted Kateri, the Head of Security for Capital Sphere...

After little more than a half hour, Nero finally felt the cold hard metal of the Capital Sphere beneath his feet.  Now he had to find a inconspicuos way in.  This was far easier said than done...there weren't exactly many areas that a man could walk into the Sphere from.

Nero couldn't help himself as he stood on the Sphere...semi perturbed that he hadn't thought of this before 'walking' to the Sphere.  "Now what?...."

The test of the bull, the test of the flame, the test strength, and the test of the man. Basicly a log toss, a fire jump, a bull fight, a wrestling match, and a rock haul. The test was, difficult."

Blaze sat, hunched over with gritted teeth. Annie hugged him close, running a hand soothingly across his feverish forehead "So she got your Mag-bike fixed then? Well, as soon as we get back to the carrier you´l be able to go out on the tracks again wont you?"

Blaze nodded, biting hard on his tongue. This new pain seemed to clear his head a little, as he looked up at her "Tess also said they got some new Explorator Droids in that ya might be interested in seeing... I told her we wouldnt be coming in today though..." He groaned again, doubling over and clutching his chest. Annie held him closer, a plan already forming. She stood up slowly, pulling the covers over her son, and kissed his forehead. He curled up in the bed, as Annie walked quietly back out into the steel corridors of the ship.

Tabby did a double take at Chronin's words. "Auntie? Your aunt is the Head of Security? That's lucky, mine was a barmaid." When he put his arm around her, she pressed herself against him.

In the Head of Security office, Kateri gripped her hair, trying to navigate through all the different message and procedures bombarding her after the visit from Seeker and Howl. In front of her, holographic windows spread out like a field of blue flowers. Except these were rather demanding flowers. Further along the office, the door faced her, with the timer on the top with fourteen hours left. Then, another window popped up, audio only communication from an unknown source. She sighed and tapped it open.
"Head security office, Kateri Peralta speaking. what do you need me for?"

Seema smiled again and looked almost impressed.
"Interesting, well you'll be doing a lot more in the coming weeks, don't worry about that." She tapped her datapad, and turned it to face him. On the display was an orange border world, and next to it, a stone with an internal glow. "You'll be leaving for this place in a few days, once all the training has been installed, and you won't be going alone. The GA have requested a soldier to come with you. He'll be arriving soon. The dragonfly team will stay here, you just need you to record anything that happens, and when you come back we'll sort it all out. As for details, we'll give you that later. now come on, let's get you a body and some training." She pushed up off the chair, took a piece of chicken from the table, and led back through the corridors. The platform swivelled and moved along behind her, back into the open lab where new limbs were being prepped.

Reggie nodded with a whispered growl, and then headed down towards the shower area. David went to opposite way, heading towards the medbay. He turned a corner, and saw Annie walking up towards him. He hissed to himself and glared at her.
"What are you doing? Go back to the medbay."

"Auntie, whats with the sudden change from a squad leader to special ops?. I put the other calls on hold " He managed to find a piece of paper that showed a 'bird' number, but  that didn't really answer all of his questions as he twisted the comm again and all of her calls were shown in his HUD. "Or is this a bad time?"

On all of the communications that are trying to reach her, a single message played before techno music started playing. "This is the office of Kateri Peralta, Head of Security for the Capital Sphere. I am currently in a meeting that requires my full attention. If your call is truly important, and when I can finally answer your call, it will be answered to the best of my knowledge. Thank you..."

"Oh my God, Chronin, what are you doing?!" Kateri yelled through the comms. "Look, you're visiting me and your gran today anyway. Get off the system and I'll explain everything there. For God's sake." She closed the comm with him, and reopened all the others, sending an apology to each one.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."
