Reggie watched her walk away, seeing her tail wag, making his wag just as fast. He couldn't resist his smile, and practically skipped back to his room, where he pulled of his space suit and dropped his big body down against his tiny bed. He didn't have a great mattress and immediately regretted the drop, feeling a pain in his back.
Eventually, the ship dropped from its jump, and David looked out the front viewscreen. They had arrived. The carrier stretched acroos space with its vast body, filled with hangar bays that lined the sides, getting larger and larger, until one final claw held in place a warship bristling with guns larger than most of the ships on board. The carrier gleamed in the sunlight, glinting in gunmetal grey, with hints of multicoloured vehicles hidden inside, blaring with styles, lights and patterns. It was as though the very ships themselves were alive, like a perpetual firework display, held within an enormous casing.
"Wake up people!" David yelled down the comms to the rest of the ship. "I think we've arrived."
Tabby smirked, which rolled into a giggle as she crawled off the bed, still holding his hand.
"You got it, boy. I'll dance for you." She winked and swayed her hips. Her tail whipped behind her, and she turned and writhed to show off the curves of her body. She pulled Chronin's hand, and with effortless grace, slid it under her tank top, letting him feel her furry feline midriff.
Kateri silently eased into her driveway and got out the car as it automatically switched off. She turned towards the house, and saw a dragoness lying unconscious at her door.
"Um, JasON... who's that?" JasON's face appeared as a holographic feature in the wall.
"Unconfirmed."
"What do you mean, unconfirmed. You know all the identities on the Sphere." Kateri walked to the body and kneeled beside her. "How can you not know this one?"
"I don't know. There are just no current records of this individual." There was a pause as his face went blank; returning a second later. "However, historical records show her to be Vuranin Epheral... oh." The AI paused. Kateri tilted her head.
"Oh?"
"According to this, she disappeared twenty five years ago, leaving her husband and ten year old son."
"So?" Kateri put her hands on her hips , staring at the face with growing impatience.
"The son was called Chronin Epheral." There was silence, with barely even the atmosphere making a movement, until Kateri slapped her forehead.
"Oh for crying out loud. Why did this have to happen now?" She shook her head in disbelief, and sighed before stepping over the dragon to open the front door. She glanced back at the AI. "I don't suppose there's a chance you can become corporeal and help me out is there?"
"No madam," JasON replied.
"Didn't think so." She knelt down and put her arms under the unconcious guest, trying to drag her inside.
"Miss Peralta, your nephew is home, I think he could help you." Kateri's eyes lit up.
"Chronin's here. Alright, where is he?"
"In his room."
