Leia dragged her claws down the back of her head, taking some fur with them. She grabbed Leo's collar and pushed her head into his chest, shutting her eyes, hiding herself into him.
"Please, please... please you've got to help me. We've got to try.... We need to find her. Please, have you got any ideas of who might know? Higher up officers? Anyone?"
Kateri rolled her eyes, and dropped her cuttlery onto her plate.
"It wasn't after just one mission. I'm your aunt, I know you better than anyone and I know that nobody helped to get where you are! They need a veteran soldier who is good with technology, do you know anyone like that? Because apparently I'm just picking people at random!" She held her arms and looked away at the walls, frustration building in her face. "Unlike you and this girl," she said, glancing at Tabby who was rapidly shrinking into her seat. "I know who you are, and what you're capable of, and I thought this would be a great opportunity for you." She stood up, taking her plate with her to the kitchen. Just before she got to the door, she turned. "Don't insult me, Chronin... and don't insult yourself with girls like that." As she left, Tabby gave a silent whistle, and shifted her seat closer to Chronin.
"Well... I've had worse receptions," she whispered, while Vix giggled into her rice.
The officer put the communicator to his ear.
"Primary, cancel that transport, and corden off this area indefinitely. We have an ill-judged hostage situation going on." He pressed a button and put it back into his pocket. He scratched his cheek, as he thought of what to say. "You know... this won't gain anything. The Everflame is too important to be just tossed over to you. You're going to have to wait for due process just like your friends."
"You're being picked up because you're a vigilante." Said one of them, staring at him with blak goggles. "We respond to the orders of Internal Justice, and they have found evidence of your guilt. You will be held in the comfort that all sentient beings deserve at the least, something that you would not offer your victims. There you will be tried in a court and proven either guilty or innocent." The one that had been silent tapped his gun against the wall.
"Now come on out, so we can arrest you."
David gave a bemused look to the robot, then plastered a warm yet condescending smile on himself.
"So, how's the criminal justice system here? Also, where can we get parts for the ship?"
Reggie paced around the cell, back and forth, around and around, growling to himself, until he officer spoke. He paused and glared at him.
"Reginald S. Mongoste. I have no affiliation with this hell hole except by being the boyfriend of one of your scavengers, and how about you use this in court?" He stepped close to the glass, and his breath spread across it. "I came here to with my best friend, and I'm gonna leave here without him, because you and your useless doctors couldn't do a damn thing to help him except run around and shout!" He slammed his head against the glass, over and over, starting to bleed.
