"Dont worry," said the doctor. "You'll be in control of your own biorhythms soon enough." He turned to one of his assistants. "Do you think we should bring in Dr. Rehman now, or later?" The woman he asked nodded.
"I think he deserves an answer," she said. The doctor laughed.
"Yeah, I guess he deserves something at least." He walked over to the door, and pressed the intercom that was set into the wall beside it. "Bring in the psych" he said. A few moments later a Blanford's vixen with soft features, and no mask, walked into the room, with a datapad clasped in her hand. Her ears stretched high above her and twitched with attentive energy, while her luxuriously large bushy tail sweapt along the floor. She was wearing a regular suit, with a light and flighty golden scarf draped over her. She watched the poor boy, before glancing to the doctors.
"It's safe isn't it?" He nodded in reply, and stepped closer, looking straight into the boy's eyes. "Hello there. My name's Seema Rehman. I'm here to help." She smiled at him, softly, and her eyes glimmered, reflecting the lights around them. "This is all probably a lot for you to handle, so if there's anything to ask, just ask me, okay?"
The fox pulled the rabbit along, passing his assault rifle back to him as the beast crawled into the hole, getting its irregular body stuck in the gap. The fox held the bag with his teeth, reaching in and getting the two confiscated pistols. He handed one of them over and kept the other for himself.
"No offense," he said. "But it's not like you don't want to shoot us." The beast scratched at the floor, pulling itself further and further out through the gap. The rabbit being dragged along behind, took aim and fired off a few shots, that tore into the creature's side. He clicked the button on his communicator.
"Hey yo, Davie," he said. His voice was loose, and slurred. "We need to get out of here quick. Where's the closest you can pick us up?"
"There's a big gaping hole in the ship just round the corner if you fancy jumping." The rabbit smirked, which turned to a wince as his injuries clawed at him. He looked back to Blaze and Annie.
"Are your outfits prepped for space walks?" The fox looked over at them then up along the corridor, seeing the turn right at the end. "It's a lot quicker than getting back to your ship." he said.
The cat made a theatrical pout, and stood up next to the dragon, examining the soldiers. Her top hung down behind her, splitting apart for her tail, and draping over the back of a pair of heavy jeans.
"Oh these boys ain't bad, and they do work hard... for me at least." She turned to Chronin, sticking out her hand. "I'm Tabby, and I'm a bounty hunter, you see? These guys help me out when I need to find people down on Sphere." She turned to them, nodding for them all to sit down, which they did, moving with caution. Most of them kept their eyes on the dragon. "But don't let me get in the way. These are your men." She grinned and sat back against the lockers.
Far ahead of Nero, a city stretched up out of the ground, full of tightly packed houses and shops. Seperate from this, in the distance to the right, seperate from everything, unmanned factories stood together like a battery.
