The ship's doorway slid aside, and the vixen stepped through, heading to the cockpit, where she dropped herself into the seat. She swivelled about, looking back at Leo."Hmm, you're probably right right. This is rather dangerous." She reached to her belt and pulled out a pistol. "Here you go," she said, handing it over. "I'm sure it'll do you a lot of good." With a chuckle and a smile she swivelled back and started up the engines. "These creatures are too powerful for any weapon we have, but one of our agents, the one you're heading toward, picked up a bomb that could hopefully destabilise their forms. If anything goes wrong, we can detonate it."
The door in front of Annie creaked open, shuddering as it dragged against the floor; behind it was all shadow. A figure stepped out, an aging female cat stepped out, dressed in functional black clothes; top and trousers, and a beret leaning to the side. She held no weapons and walked in with calm grace, almost gliding. Looking down at Annie, she leaned against the wall.
"So," she said. "Apparently I owe you a favour. That would be useful if I could remember you."
Reggie marched in, towering over all others. He spotted Blaze and Tess, snapping at eachother, and moved to the free seat beside them. "Trouble in paradise?"
