"Well sir," said the human, as he swooped around Nero. "We don't specialise in such technology. We are mainly a passenger and/or cargo transport dealership, but we do have an all-environments package." He herded the hyena towards a display set in the corner, where a red and blocky model stood proud, with holographic asteroids circling around it. "It's for any rugged and harsh encounters you may have with the elements. It does have a basic mining laser, and impressive sensory equipment as well as a microwave emitter and what we like to call, the freeze ray." The swung behind the display, and appeared on the other side with a brochure, that he handed over. "It's not anything specialist, but it should work well for whatever endeavour you may want to persue, and is a lot more affordable."
Squad D grumbled in response, and as Chronin left, they let out a collective sigh and dropped themselves back to their seats.
"Aw what the hell is this," whined the ferret, as he leaned back, thudding against the locker.
"Well listen," Tabby replied, as a more overt accent rolled out of her. "It pro'lly won't last long, and you never know, man. You might enjoy it." She stood up and flicked her tail, while tapping the magazine against her hip. "Why'd you take this job if you don't wanna do it? Don't you want to catch dudes instead of just sniffing them out and letting others do the sick mission stuff?"
"Nope," said the human, as he pulled out his cards again. "This job is safe and secure. The less I do, the better I feel." Tabby smirked in reply, and then looked over to the crow.
"What about you?" He tapped his talons against the linoleum floor, and stared at the wall, wrapped in thought.
"I took it because it was something to do. Isn't that why you became a bounty hunter?"
"Nah," she replied. "I do it cus it's sick, innit. All this running around taking mans out. I dreamed of that since I was little, man." She walked over to the door and stepped just outside, with the exit still open. "I'm surprised. You guys worked hard to get this job and now you don't wanna do it? That's kinda messed," she said, flicking her tail and looking back over her shoulder. "I've always wanted my job, and I enjoy every minute I can." With that she left for the sparring room, finding Chronin standing alone on a set of mats in a wood panelled hall, surrounded by the echoes of her footsteps.
