Near my breaking point
« on: July 20, 2010, 04:41:37 PM »
My father.. Is being mean, to say it cleanly. It started when my mum couldnt find some shoes. She was screaming and woke him up(he works nightshift). She found them chewed up by the dog SHE wanted, then she yelled at us. She leaves and my sister's crying, I'm trying not to rage. Dad begins to ask her why she's crying(not in a nice way). He begans to yell and knock her stuff down. Then he goes on about how we are selfish, disrespectful, arrogant and disgust him. So, Who wants to tell me I'm wrong first?

Why would you be wrong? Your father needs to calm down. It's one thing to be upset for being woken up, but that's a bit extreme.

I tried to tell an adult once, but they just called me a brat and said its me. Its just my dads always yelling, like in the morning about how there's a pan in the sink. I dont like to start cleaning until noon, but with him he wants it all perfect. I wouldnt be angry about him wanting it perfect, but that one sock on the floor means punishment. I'm stuck in the house with my family all summer, while we get yelled at for past mistakes or the fact we didnt tell them we are out of dogfood a day earlier

your parents need to take some chill pills. but dont overdose on them, cause then you go all limp like. also, be the better person here and say to yourself "look how childish they act, grown human beings. How sad."

Yikes! Not exactly the position to be in. Although I probably don't have any good advice, I'd say just lay low.

We fight, we recruit, we are the anthropomorphic army. FDF forever!

That's what it's like for me sorta, laying low doesn't really work since they can almost always complain about something  :/
I still can't find a way around it, I just try to be as good as possible (which isn't enough)
